If I like Owen what else might work?

We have months still to find a name but I'm just getting frustrated because I can't find anything we both like. Girls names we're better about but no shortlist yet.

Owen is the only boys name we so far both like but I'm not completely convinced because I think it sounds strange with our surname.

And I'd just like some more options!

We like short, unfussy names. He likes Ethan and pretty much anything Irish except Liam, which I like.

Help please! Build us a shortlist!

Thanks everyone. Some nice options here but nothing is grabbing me.

sonlypuppyfat how do you pronounce Ieuan?

argylesocks · 18/12/2013 18:56

I like Owen because it's simple, not too popular and pronounceable in many languages. I like it but not in love. DH is Irish but I'm not so I'm wary of picking a very Irish name unless I love it.

Feels a bit hopeless... This baby better be a girl!

Rhys, Wynn, Wystan if you like the Welshness of it.

Or similar style/feel of name; Liam, Roan, Rowan, Joel, Adam, Orin/Oren.
