What's your cat called?

I have a Jasper, the amount of people that have told me they had a cat called Jasper is quite remarkable, so I'm looking for some feline inspiration for the next one arriving 2014... Can be a boys or girls name as we 're keeping it a surprise. Thanks.

We have a Polly.

People always comment that it is a name for a bird though not a cat.

We have cats named Oscar and Flora, Lucky and Fizzy. (Guess which cats were named when the children were little!)

Until this summer I had the lovely Vladimir and Daisy, but both became very ill with kidney disease and had to be put to sleep.

I was going through a Renaissance phase when I acquired the month-old Vladimir (his mum was run over hence his being adopted so young) and had all sorts of plans to call him Lorenzo, Cesare or Giangaleazzo (plenty of nicknames there) but as I cuddled the tiny black ball of fluff he nibbled my neck so Vlad he became. He only bit me once again during his long life, when I was trying to get some unpleasant meds into him! And he needed quite a lot of nasty meds poor love, so I think he was quite restrained really. I became quite good at getting them into him quickly!

Daisy started off life as Boris as we thought she was a boy. When we discovered she was a girl we couldn't decide on a girl's name and carried on calling her Boris until a friend suggested Daisy, so Daisy she became and it suited her very well.

Russian names are great and there was a German boy's names thread here which had some wonderful suggestions. I'll be checking it when the time comes for me to adopt again.

But we're going to get a male cat purely so we can call it Kenton Schweppes after the character in Toast not sure that'll be naming inspiration for you though OP!!

Our cats are called Ninja and Bleep (outs self).

You'd get a from the registrar if you went for either of those.

Ive also had two ginger toms called Marmaduke and Whisky and two other kittens called Borat and Papillon who went to nice homes when they were old enough
Borat was called Coraline until we discovered he was a boy!

We've got Sybil and (psycho) Polly. I really wanted a little boy to call Pablo, but when your daughter finds a kitten chucked away in a box you don't quibble over its sex.
