Marianne Elodie or Beatrice Catherine?

...or Marianne Amelie?

We have a family French Connection, so want a name that sounds good in both languages. Surname begins with L, two syllables. Think this is now the (final) final short list, so which do you prefer?

Beatrice Catherine. Or Beatrice Marianne.

minipie · 23/10/2013 19:53

Or Marianne Beatrice? Grin

CSLewis · 23/10/2013 20:28

Oh dear! I don't really want to use Beatrice and Marianne together, as I really like both of them, so want to save one for other future possible daughters... My DH prefers Marianne, but was really opposed to Beatrice for ages, long enough to almost put me off it! Confused

I think my favourite combination is Beatrice Catherine. I think..!

Beatrice Elodie for me.....beautiful!

Mellowandfruitful · 23/10/2013 20:45

Beatrice Catherine. It's beautiful. Plus get it in now that your DH has come round to it, then if you have a DD2 you can graciously let him have 'his' choice of name Wink

CSLewis · 23/10/2013 22:48

Mellow, I'm liking your style...Wink

Beatrice Catherine, but all four names are lovely.

GwendolineMaryLacey · 23/10/2013 23:24

Beatrice Catherine is lovely. I'm really not keen on Elodie, it's so soppy.

NadiaWadia · 24/10/2013 00:56

Marianne Catherine! The trouble with Beatrice is it sounds lovely in French, not so good in English (Beer-triss)

Butwilliseeyouagain · 24/10/2013 04:26

Beatrice Catherine is lovely.

Both Marianne and Elodie are quite dated now in France - most are in their twenties or older and I know of none younger than that.

Frikadellen · 24/10/2013 21:05

Marianne Elodie

flyingwidow · 24/10/2013 21:30
