We need a name that is somehow related to Elisabeth.

What do you think?

Bethan or Betsan?

I think Bethan is more popular but then not living in Wales is Betsan too welsh? but then it doesnt have a weird sound or anything

I like Betsi a lot more than either Bethan or Betsan (I agree with Zing 'flotsam and jetsam'). I think Betsi could easily be a stand alone name.

Another one who thinks that Betsan sounds like some kind of sanitary product.

Bethan, Bethany, Bettany are all much nicer and can still be nn'd Betsy if you want!

Ooo Alisvoltapropiis - I wonder if I know your mother? Betsan P was a few years ahead of me in primary school but then went on to a different secondary (and her DM was my teacher in the last year of primary).

My mum went the same secondary as her mejon but went to an English speaking primary though you might have known from inter school stuff Smile
