Only 10 weeks but throwing some ideas around.
What do you think of Sadie? Our surname is on syllable

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
squoosh · 25/09/2013 18:00

I think it's just ok.

YoMamma · 25/09/2013 18:44

I like it. It sounds quite cool and will probably be unusual without being 'out there'.

Bowlersarm · 25/09/2013 18:48

I like it.

Simple, but under used.

galwaygirl · 25/09/2013 18:50

I like it but it seems to be increasing in popularity as I know two born in the last few months

ch1134 · 25/09/2013 18:54

It sounds American to me (I don't know what I'm basing this on)

Frontdoorstep · 25/09/2013 18:55

I like it, it's a normal name but not too popular, people know how to spell it, yes it's nice.

GwendolineMaryLacey · 25/09/2013 18:56

I really like it. But maybe because it's my nickname. :)

wigglesrock · 25/09/2013 19:48

It's one of my daughters middle name, after one of her great grannys Smile

TootsFroots · 25/09/2013 19:58

I absolutely love it although I don't know any Sadie's.

It's a bit like Stella which I also love.

CordeliaRose · 25/09/2013 20:09

I like it ; I don't know any Sadies either apart from Sadie Frost

cherrytomato40 · 25/09/2013 20:10

I think it's lovely, either as a stand alone name or a NN for Sarah.

mamalovebird · 25/09/2013 20:11

Like it. Was on my list for dd but couldn't really use due to our surname :(

poppingin1 · 25/09/2013 20:12

I really like it which surprises me.

Simple, not very common and sweet sounding.

ErrolTheDragon · 25/09/2013 20:12

I know a 7 year old Sadie who is a really cool kid. Makes a nice change from all the Sophies.

alwaysneedaholiday · 25/09/2013 20:16

Strangely, I was discussing this name today with a friend....the consensus was no....sorry.

pudseypie · 25/09/2013 20:31

One of my friends dd is called this and she's such a sweetie and I like the name

Hawkmoth · 25/09/2013 20:33

I like it, but could she live with the Beatles song 'Sexy Sadie'?

Dilligufdarling · 25/09/2013 20:46

I've only known dogs called Sadie (3 of them!) sorry!

WafflyVersatile · 25/09/2013 20:49

I like it.

BlueShirtBlueTie · 25/09/2013 21:07

Makes me think of Sadie the bra lady Blush.

So a no from me.

MoreThanWords · 25/09/2013 21:22

I like it.

Was there a Sadie in the St Clare's series of books?

WafflyVersatile · 25/09/2013 21:50

Possibly. I'm struggling to remember from what in my Childhood I remember it.

KatOD · 25/09/2013 21:53

Love it. TootsFroots, you'd love our NCT group, 2 of the 3 girls are Sadie and Stella.

BangOn · 25/09/2013 21:58

Sadist. sorry.

kiwik · 26/09/2013 03:34

I disliked a girl at school with this name - for no reason other than she had those odd white spots on her nails and they freaked me out.
I've never met any one else with the name since, so I associate it with her.
