Clara or Cara or Lara definately.

Claudia has such an unfortunate meaning - I would hate my dd to ask me why we named her a name that is directly derived from the latin for disabled. There are so many other beautiful names with nicer or no meanings.

The name claudia predates the Emperor Claudius (from whom the association with lameness is derived). In roman mythology Claudia was a vestal virgin who saved her father from attack. I think it's lovely!

Clara always makes me think of Heidi and reminds me how irritating I found the character of Clara as a child. But I appreciate that's just me. Grin
