Opinions please, my daughter is due in November and we are currently considering this name.

Bahahahaha @ stick fetish Grin

noisytoys · 06/09/2013 20:10

I have a Willow Ariel. Willow is a lovely name but very popular so there will probably be a few Willows in her class.

Willow has become mainstream where I live. I know a tall willowy Willow, a short chubby Willow, and a boy called Willow.

Joy is quite sweet imo.

I think it's awful. Is it your first? Will you be birthing in a lavender field to whale sounds?

SprinkleLiberally · 07/09/2013 05:59

I love Joy. Would be great as the first name.

User3433399 · 07/09/2013 06:06

I'm afraid my first thoughts were to karma sutra position or high end, hand carved sex toy - sorry! (clearly have a dirty mind...)

Both names lovely in isolation, just not in that order. What about another name in between if you have to use Joy? e.g. Willow Isabel Joy

magicstars · 07/09/2013 07:42

I like both names but not sure about how they sound together. I prefer a 2 or more syllable middle name with willow.
Joy as a first name is beautiful Smile

openerofjars · 07/09/2013 07:50

I love both names but together they do sound a bit like a paint chart colour, maybe a pale springlike green. Sorry.

I don't think it sounds like a sex toy, though, if that helps.

Does Joy have to be the middle name or can you reverse them?

exoticfruits · 07/09/2013 07:53

I don't think they go together.
Joy is nice but not Willow.

Rtfairy · 07/09/2013 10:26

Thank you for all the responses and honest opinions. Still love Willow but if we do go for this won't be pairing with Joy anymore! Been well and truly put off that idea haha x

Love the name.

BlueChampagne · 09/09/2013 16:14

Sounds like cricket porn to me.

LeoandBoosmum · 09/09/2013 16:17

I hate Willow, personally. Just sound too new agey for me. Also, makes me think Weeping Willow...so find it a bit depressing as a name. Joy is just meh too for me, sorry.

fedupwithdeployment · 09/09/2013 16:30

Not so keen. My brother's Labrador is called willow...she is lovely though!

Ragusa · 10/09/2013 15:47

First thing I thpught was Willy Joy. Sorry Grin. Like willow and joy but not together for aforementioned reason.

nemno · 10/09/2013 15:51

I see you've replied but I immediately thought chinese brothel menu option.

LaurieFairyCake · 10/09/2013 15:51

I don't like Willow

Unless you live in a field, knit your own yoghurt and have sex on a chalk giant.

LunaGoodlove · 11/09/2013 10:24
