Opinions please, my daughter is due in November and we are currently considering this name.

Love Willow. Not keen on Joy.

Rtfairy · 05/09/2013 07:54

Middle name will definitely be Joy due to sentimental reasons

Ok fair enough, my opinion still stands Smile I love Willow.

Rtfairy · 05/09/2013 08:22

Thanks for your comments, Willow seems to get mixed reactions but we love it. I just want to avoid giving her a name she dislikes us for!

Check your genes, are you willowy? I am short and fat so would not have risked Willow as a name!

Sirzy · 05/09/2013 08:30

Personally I don't like it. Both names are ok on their own but together it doesn't sound right.

neverlookback · 05/09/2013 08:30

I have a willow Anne age 2
(middle name deceased mil middle name)
It's a beautiful name, so glad I pushed for it as dp not keen at first!
It's not very well accepted by the older community I have found!!!

Go for it Grin

Saffyz · 05/09/2013 09:07

Both lovely names and a great combination.

TallulahBetty · 05/09/2013 09:09

We considered it for DD and would definitely do so again if we have another D.

CruCru · 05/09/2013 16:18

Both are lovely but I would worry that it sounds a bit like a Chinese sex position (sorry - may just be my nasty mind). Could you add another middle name between Willow and Joy?

sonlypuppyfat · 05/09/2013 16:25

Someone introduced their baby to me once in my head I was convinced she said William not willow and now I want to call her William agh

Rhubarbgarden · 05/09/2013 20:27

Sounds like someone very happy with a Salix.

mathanxiety · 05/09/2013 20:31

Very nice.

cupcakeicing · 05/09/2013 20:34

Lovely

kerala · 05/09/2013 22:27

Are you both slim and lithe? There was a willow at school who was rather dumpy and people sniggered. I wouldn't personally.

argylesocks · 06/09/2013 05:46

I like it. We considered Willow but turns out we needed a boys name :) I think it sounds nice with Joy.

Jemimapuddleduk · 06/09/2013 14:01

Love it. One of my dd's middle names is Joy

Stokey · 06/09/2013 16:30

I like Willow, was on shortlist but dh vetoed as a bit wet. I don't think it goes that well with Joy. Maybe because its two words that are both things IYSWIM

SoupDragon · 06/09/2013 16:37

I don't think the names go together. It sounds a little like a shop that sells twiggy stuff.

Inclusionist · 06/09/2013 19:17

I think it sounds like a stick fetish (sorry).

CPtart · 06/09/2013 19:27
