A sister for Honey

Hi, our 2nd baby girl is due in 3 weeks and am still pondering a short list of names. DH and I have a little girl named Honey who is almost 4 and needless to say the style of names we like are a little unusual. I'm looking for something which will fit in nicely with Honey, I guess you could say cutesy, although I do like unusual classic names as well. Current short list is as follows - grateful for the Mumsnet view! !

Bluebell
Blossom
Arabella
Perla
Angelica (angel as nickname?)
Peony (like this - DH doesn't!)
Lola

Suggestions and opinions please!

I knew a girl called Honeysuckle with a sister called Perdita, nn Perdy, which I loved. Ddc1

If you like the name Bluebell but are worried about the negative feedback on mumsnet, don't let it influence you. This is only one forum and there is a whole world out there....!

Also, the names favoured by those flaming Bluebell may not be of your choice. Tastes vary, opinions vary. If you love it, use it.

I met a little Bluebell at a creche recently and it was fresh and pretty in the sea of Ellas/Eves/Isabellas/Lexis.

How about Melissa, it means honey bee.

cookielove · 26/08/2013 12:28

Was gonna suggest Boo Boo as a joke of course Grin

you get it right

I like Bluebell with either Blue or Bell as a nn.

And I adore Lola

TalkativeJim · 26/08/2013 12:34

Blythe

Out of your names, I like Blossom and Perla with Honey. Bluebell is nice but it makes me think of ice cream (big ice cream company where I am). I think Angela would go better than Angelica.

Suggestions seperate from your list, cutesy names that I think of when I think of Honey would be Adora, Cyra, Roxie, Winri, Olivine, and Linnea (flower). Adora was the first one to pop into my head.

AugustaCarp · 26/08/2013 12:38

I quite like just "Blue" by itself!

pee-uh-nee

I think it veers dangerously on 'penis' territory (it's my favourite flower though. So beautiful)

BaldricksTurnip · 26/08/2013 12:51

We have rabbits Grin called Honey and Daisy. I think they're lovely names.

Freshnclean · 26/08/2013 12:51

Loving Adora!

I know a Honey with a sister called Skye.

moustachio · 26/08/2013 12:54

Really dislike Lola and bluebell. Angel is awful.

I'd go for something like Fleur as suggested by another poster.

moustachio · 26/08/2013 12:55

Honey shouldn't go with Blossom. Its like you're trying to make a pair and not giving the second an individual name. Honey Blossom. Blossom isn't a very pretty word either!

sameoldIggi · 26/08/2013 13:01

Agusta, I've known a couple of Blues but they were both boys.
In Scotland I believe it is a football reference! (Though have never met a "green")

MrsJohnDeere · 26/08/2013 13:05

Not Blossom or Bluebell

Any flower names will sound a bit odd/themed IMHO.

YoungBritishPissArtist · 26/08/2013 13:05

I like Willow and Blythe, as mentioned.

How about Iris?

Sadie204 · 26/08/2013 13:44

Out of all of the suggestions, I think Skye and Willow sound nicest with Honey. I know someone who called her daughter Angel but think it might sound a bit much together!

Frikadellen · 26/08/2013 15:14

i love Willow

Perla is pretty too.

I know a Honey with a Poppy for her sister

MortifiedAdams · 26/08/2013 15:19

Your childs name is Honey Bea?

Erm....
Adora Belle?

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 26/08/2013 15:52

Bluebell Bluebell,Bluebell, a hundred times Bluebell!!!

Honey and Bluebell Smile

and she can be Belle when she grows up if she wants a less cute name

Freshnclean · 26/08/2013 15:55

Looks like Bluebell and Willow the faves, thanks so much for everybody's suggestions. Now.... What middle name lol?

MrsBungle · 26/08/2013 17:50

I love bluebell. Arabella is also nice, as is willow.

zippey · 26/08/2013 18:00

I think Linda would be nice, or Janet?
