Baby names

A sister for Honey

Hi, our 2nd baby girl is due in 3 weeks and am still pondering a short list of names. DH and I have a little girl named Honey who is almost 4 and needless to say the style of names we like are a little unusual. I'm looking for something which will fit in nicely with Honey, I guess you could say cutesy, although I do like unusual classic names as well. Current short list is as follows - grateful for the Mumsnet view! !

Bluebell
Blossom
Arabella
Perla
Angelica (angel as nickname?)
Peony (like this - DH doesn't!)
Lola

Suggestions and opinions please!

I really like Angelica and Lola from your list, and Fleur as someone else has suggested. I'm not keen on Bluebell, it sounds like such a little girl's name and is lovely for a child, but don't think it would suit a grown up... imagine being in a meeting at 50 and introducing yourself as Bluebell? I think there would be a few scoffs... sorry!

Oh, gutted this is a Zombie! Want to know what she was called in the end. Had a lot of laughs one time at Crazy Golf when a little darling called Blossom was being pretty horrid - it was like her parents couldn't bring themselves to tell her off as it sounded so ridiculous to associate Blossom with anything harsh. They were like 'Oh Blossom sweetie, oh Blossom no, oh darling Blossom, don't whack that person with your golf club...'

It would be lovely if the OP sees this and lets us know what they decided!
I'm hoping Bluebell ...... Smile

I like Angelica, but doubt she'd get Angel for short as the sound is completely different. She'd probably get Angie.

The only other one I like is Lola.

Arabella is over the top, but Bella alone is nice and goes with Honey.

My youngest dd went to school with a Bluebell. Some if the other parents were incredibly rude about it. Loudly, in front of both children and parents.

In fact there were two bluebells but the elder one absolutely refused to be called it and made up her own name instead. I think what I'm trying to say is that it will create strong opinions. As long as you're OK with that, that's all that matters. Personally I think it's a lovely name.

I thought Blossom, or names like the Olivers have given their daughters.
