Looking for some inspiration, DC3 is due in Oct need a shortlist for a girl or boy and DH and I are struggling to agree on anything!

We would probably have used Amelia or William but can't now due to friends/family, we both have big families so lots we like are ruled out!

On my shortlists would be:

Francesca
Felicity
Tabitha
Matilda

Harrison
Edward
Frederick

Thanks in advance Smile

Matilda & Edward. Lovely LOVELY lovely.

IHeartKingThistle · 31/07/2013 13:55

I came on to suggest Frances so pretty close!

JamieandtheMagicTorch · 31/07/2013 13:57

I like Francesca and Felicity

Or what about

Marianne
Audrey
Joy

Boys:

Marcus
Patrick

Littlecherublegs · 31/07/2013 14:26

I like Matilda and Harrison from your list.

The Olivias & Eleanors I know have siblings called Madison, Ava & Heidi.

How about:
Poppy
Natasha
Rosa
Freya

Leo
Jasper
Theo
James

Mumblyboo · 31/07/2013 15:13

Alice or edward

CPtart · 31/07/2013 15:16

Francesca and Edward.

SilkStalkings · 31/07/2013 21:33

Don't think Francesca goes as well as your other girls' names. Like Matilda and Marianne.

deemented · 31/07/2013 21:36

Verity or Simone

Thomas or Robert.

ClaraOswald · 31/07/2013 21:44

Felicity or Frederick from your lists.

MortifiedAdams · 31/07/2013 21:49

Matilda and Edward from your list with Tilda and Ted as NNs.

Alternatives - Henry and Aurora

HarryandJess · 31/07/2013 21:49

I think that the names from your list that go best with Olivia and Eleanor are Matilda and Harrison. Good luck with DC3

Onyabike · 31/07/2013 22:05

I prefer Francesca or Edward with your DDs names.

If you really like Amelia but friends/family have already used it, you could maybe use Emilia instead?

hurricanemum · 31/07/2013 22:31

I really like Felicity from your list. What about Verity? They are always lovely. Also like Cecilly. I am going for names of three syllables to go with Eleanor and Olivia.

Boys wise... I like Fred but not as keen on the full name. I think Harrison is a different sort of name from your girls' names. How about Alastair? Al for short. It's my current fave boys name although don't think I will use now as have a DC with an A name already.

thethreeblondies · 31/07/2013 22:31

Thanks for the suggestions so far Grin DH not keen on my shortlists and I feel like I'm running out of time to talk him round, he likes Katherine for a girl (I'm meh about it!) Can't get sensible ideas out of him re boys names, Batman keeps coming up!

Liking the idea of Emilia, Thomas has strong family connections for DH and although there is family already with the name we could get away with it. Quite a few that have been mentioned (Leo, Theo) are ruled out as have been used by friends.

Matilda and Edward the winners for me.

Other suggestions - Alice (as long as you don't mind the Al start to the name with the other names), Susannah, Toby, Edmund

MoonHare · 31/07/2013 23:01

Love Tabitha, Felicity and Matilda from your girls list - we have used two of them for our DDs.

You obviously have a liking for 'a' sounds on the end of girls names (assuming you don't pn your DDs name El-a-naw). You might want to add another 'a' name to your brood but if not then go for Felicity.

Love the suggestions of Frances and Verity too. You might also like; Esme, Lucy, Libby, Phoebe, Harriet, Iris, Ivy.

I agree that Harrison has a very different feel from your DDs names. Like Edward best from your list. Also love the suggestion of Toby. You might also like; Seth, Lawrence, Tobias, Noah.

Leeds2 · 31/07/2013 23:14

Would reject Harrison. If it were me.

With Olivia and Eleanor, I would choose Iris or Megan.

Like Edward and Frederick. Also Harry,

Onyabike · 31/07/2013 23:36

Thomas is a great name! I'd go with either Thomas or Edward - both super names!

It appears to me that your DH seems to have a preference for more traditional names ( i.e. Katherine), so how about Charlotte, Harriet, Anna, Alice, Alexandra and, as mentioned previously, Emilia?

Francesca or Felicity. Matilda is overdone.

Like all the boys' names.

TallulahBetty · 01/08/2013 07:53

Oops meant to add that I can't stand Tabitha.

SkinnyDecaffGiraffe · 01/08/2013 08:24

Girls- not Matilda or Tabitha. Francesca is nice. Like suggestions of Verity. I would also suggest Esther or Elsa.

Boys - please don't use Harrison. It's dreadful and doesn't go with Olivia and Eleanor at all.

I would go with Edward nn Woody. Or Leo.

Good luck !
