Hello,

I have a 15mo dd who currently does not have a middle name. I would like to give her a middle name that means/is connected to the sea; the ocean, as it has deep significance.

Other that Marnie and Marina, what name are there?

Any suggestions are most welcome :) TIA xx

Muriel means "sea-bright" or "shining sea". There is a variant - Meriel.

One of the meanings given for Genevieve is "white wave", and one for Cordelia is "of the sea".

Salacia was Neptune's wife (whence "salacious"). I know a girl called this but really, don't do it.

You get lots of houses in the nw coast of Scotland called "Ceol na Mara" which translates as "the music of the sea".
