Just that really???

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Rtfairy · 06/07/2013 09:22

I quite like it

Forgetfulmog · 06/07/2013 09:27

Love it! Milly or Millie for short?

MyThumbsHaveGoneWeird · 06/07/2013 09:43

love it. DH wouldnt let me have it (he likes weird names).

BeanoNoir · 06/07/2013 09:45

I like it. My grandmother's name.

Blanketsandpillows · 06/07/2013 11:23

I like it

ZZZenagain · 06/07/2013 11:26

don't like it at all

squoosh · 06/07/2013 11:42

Don't like it.

Wheresmycaffeinedrip · 06/07/2013 11:44

I personally don't like it. Very harsh sounding name.

jessjessjess · 06/07/2013 12:08

Oh god no - Milly is nice but Millicent is awful, sorry. If you like Milly why not go for Emily or Romily?

Ruprekt · 06/07/2013 12:10

Millicent Margaret Amanda was Milly Molly Mandy's full name.

Like it but not brave enough to use it. SmileSmileSmile

JazzAnnNonMouse · 06/07/2013 12:30

Not quite the same name but reminds me of the baddie in sleeping beauty!
Ugly name IMO

Millie is nice

WidowWadman · 06/07/2013 12:38

Lovely lovely name, but don't like it being shortened to Millie or Milly. But the advantage of a long name is, that the child can choose what to shorten it to (if at all) herself.

ThePigOfHappiness · 06/07/2013 12:43

It's ok. On trend with the "granny chic" thing that's going on atm. Millicent is barbie's middle name btw!

sundanceclaire · 06/07/2013 12:45

Mouse! For a child, no way it's awful.

TidyDancer · 06/07/2013 12:49

I'm really sorry, but I think it's horrible. :(

It is with Ethel for me. They might be well in with the old lady chic trend of late, but just no.

bugsybill · 06/07/2013 12:58

I think it is ok, hard to imagine a child going by a full name but Milly/Millie is fine.

MortifiedAdams · 06/07/2013 12:59

Reminds me of two characters-

Millicent Bulstrode - the big hulking Slytherin girl in HP2
Malificent - the wicked witch in Sleeping Beauty

WidowWadman · 06/07/2013 13:08

There of course is also Millicent Fawcett, the suffragist

SconeInSixtySeconds · 06/07/2013 13:08

Exactly as Mortified said - Millicent Bulstrode, she of the cat hair poly juice potion.

Millie = lovely
Millicent = don't do it!

laravh · 06/07/2013 13:18

Horrible. Reminds me of the evil queen in Sleeping beauty, Malificent.

Elquota · 06/07/2013 17:17

Lovely name. Millie is nice too as nickname, rather than stand-alone.

miffybun73 · 06/07/2013 17:18

Loveit, but not keen on Millie.

MoonHare · 06/07/2013 18:07

Bit prim sounding. She'd get Milly (the opposite of prim sounding), would you mind?

Meredith?

GaiusIsAnAceName · 06/07/2013 18:14

Millicent the Millipede...

Hashtagwhatever · 06/07/2013 18:16

Just yesterday I was in drs surgery with my dc.
And a lady was picking up a prescription for her dd.
That was her name and I thought how lovely.

Really like it
