Barnaby / Barney is lovely Smile

cece · 06/06/2013 23:10

None of them are really cup of tea but I think Barnaby is the best of the bunch.

How about Hugo?

Smartiepants79 · 06/06/2013 23:11

Cooper is a surname.
Like Isaac and like rufus although I know a dog called rufus so wouldn't use it myself!
Like Henry a lot but its much more traditional than some of the other choices so it depends what you're going for.

muffins · 06/06/2013 23:14

I'm worried that rufus is too doggy :-/ dp loves it though. Just don't know any in rl and not sure I can visualise calling my baby rufus iykwim

Barnaby or Isaac would be my choices

AKissIsNotAContract · 06/06/2013 23:17

I like Rufus, especially if the baby has red hair

usualsuspect · 06/06/2013 23:17

I like Rufus and Cooper, not keen on the rest.

RhondaJean · 06/06/2013 23:19

I love rufus but that's because I loooove rufus wainwright.

Startail · 06/06/2013 23:20

Isaac

CarriMarie · 07/06/2013 01:07

Isaac is my favourite. I know a Woody, but it's a nn for Edward.

toffeelolly · 07/06/2013 01:36

Cooper!

Elquota · 07/06/2013 01:58

Barnaby - reminds me of barns/hay/cows
Cooper - too surnamey
Henry - great classic name
Rufus - really like this
Woody - dislike, too nicknamey and pretentious
Isaac - nice and classic

BronaghT · 07/06/2013 03:02

Isaac would be my choice.
Copper is a surname and my dogs name so I wouldn't use that. Rufus is also my sisters dogs name so that reminds me if that and not a baby name.

CheerfulYank · 07/06/2013 03:10

I like them all but Woody. Rufus or Henry would be my favorites. :)

BlueStarsAtNight · 07/06/2013 05:20

I like Isaac and Henry a lot. Barnaby is ok. Rufus and Cooper are dogs names, and Woody is just awful. I like Edward though.

Optimist1 · 07/06/2013 05:29

Remember that Woody is sometimes used as a euphemism!! Blush

Jaynebxl · 07/06/2013 05:40

Rufus is nice, I know a child called that.
Barnaby makes me think of Barnaby Bear.
Cooper is just silly... It's a surname!
Woody... DH wanted this for DS after Woody Guthrie but ona a straw poll at work nobody had heard of WG and everyone said it just made them think of toy story.
Too many Isaacs.
Henry is ok.

hellokitty123 · 07/06/2013 07:08

I prefer Isaac and Barnaby. Or how about Sebastian or Quentin?

I love Henry (but I do have one). How do they all sound with your surname?

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 07/06/2013 11:07

From that selection I'd go for Rufus.

I thought of Barney Rubble Grin

lljkk · 07/06/2013 11:22

I think they're all rather the same! Isaac is only one I kind of like.
Henry is very mainstream. Cooper is okay.
Barnaby/Woody/Rufus make me wince.

LemonBreeland · 07/06/2013 11:28

I have a Cooper so love that. I also like Rufus on your list. Not so keen on the others..

muffins · 08/06/2013 11:43

Thanks everyone. Surname is hall so have to be a bit careful that the name doesn't end up sounding like some national trust property that you'd go for a picnic at!
Feel like I'm leaning more towards cooper and barnaby...
