Glaikit interesting that you put Jura as a girls name. I know a boy called Jura.

Isla is Islay, in the context of Scottish islands. And whisky (it's my middle name). My sister's middle name is Iona, and I always like that they match.

Oh, and we had a dog called Benbecula, Ben for short.

Yama mine too! Every time we drive past it I really want to go and see what's there.

I hope op realises a lot of the posters here are taking the proverbial and that many of the suggestions are ridiculous

Morayshire is a place the county is Moray. Suggested Murray as in the surname alternative to Moray.

Don't do it Foxy - you will be disappointed (probably).

If a were a boy, I would have been Forbes (a family name, but it's also a place).

I don't think Morayshire is a place. It is just Moray.

I love Forbes. DS has a name on one of these lists. DC2 will possibly have a Scottish placename if they're a boy.
