Hard one...how to get Kitt without using Christopher...

There must be a long name with a 'kit' beginning middle or ending.
But I can't find one.
I like unusual names,Cornish,old English,old Norse,Celtic,or just underused Names. (I don't want an 1980's name though )

It may have to be a rather a tenuous connection.
If anyone can find one,it'll be you lot.

if the middles names are "quite long and very boring traditional" then I don't see why his first name can't just be Kitt?

Also, I don't understand naming a child Christopher when he will NEVER be called that but that's a personal hang-up.

I love Kit. I couldn't call mine that though because of our surname (sounds really stupid together) Just call him Kit and have done with it!

To be honest, I'd just put Christopher and introduce as Kit from the start. There are lots of Kates and Lizzies for whom this has worked!

if you like Cornish names what about Jago? Cornish for James or Jacob. It's our DS1's middle name - wanted it to be his first name but chickened out!

I have a Kit too. Marvellous name. Just Kit on it's own; I will have no truck with Christopher. Fairly common abbreviation where I come from ..

I'd love to use Jago,but,as I mentioned upthread,we already have a DS named Arlo.

Kit is a great name.

I second (or third?) the suggestion that you drop the superfluous 2nd 't'. It looks weird and unfinished, like it is just a shortened version of something else.
