Amelia is a nice name but not Amy for nn. It is also very popular. Nicer just as Amelia or Milly.

Thankyou ladies! I know they're popular but I've come to the decision that they're popular for good reason. My son has a very unusual name and maybe I've gone the other way as I get fed up of spelling it out or explaining No it's not made up.

Agree that Amelia, Jamie and Sam are becoming a little overused and imo are a little dull, sorry.

I do love Maria though - classic, beautiful and underused!
