I have narrowed my list down to a final 6 for potential girls names for a sibling for my DD Lily. Please tell me your favourite! (And least favourite too!!) And If you have any other suggestions please add as I just cannot find a name that I have fallen in love with like I did with Lily when I was pregnant.

Emilia
Jasmine
Isabel
Maisie
Isla
Ava

Love Isla, gorgeous name. Least favourite is Jasmine

Isla

Alisvolatpropiis · 19/11/2012 15:30

Isla.

Least favourite is Isabel.

VintageRainBoots · 19/11/2012 15:31

Maisie is my favourite.

Lulabellarama · 19/11/2012 15:34

They're all OK but not terribly inspiring

What about Thea? Or Celeste? Or Talia?

CremeEggThief · 19/11/2012 15:37

Ava. I also like Jasmine with Lily. I like Isabel, but don't think it works with Lily.

LoopsInHoops · 19/11/2012 15:41

Love them all apart from Isla.

Iwillorderthefood · 19/11/2012 15:46

Isla as i know a children with all of the other names and this may be an indication that your DD will be in a class with two or three others which can become confusing ( I know this through experience there were four children with the same name in my class).

LondonInHighHeeledBoots · 19/11/2012 15:52

Isla I like, Emilia is not bad either but sounds a bit made up - why not Emily, Amelia or Emma?

Don't like the rest at all, Maisie in particular is not to my taste.

Ruth, Grace, Victoria, Eleanor/Elenor/Elinor, Esme, Josephine, Seren/a, Rowan, Penelope?

Lily is quite an easy name to 'go with' and tbh, once she's there, the names will 'go' just fine whatever you chose, I don't think poersonally that its much to worry about.

MamaMary · 19/11/2012 15:53

Isla

aPirateInaPearTree · 19/11/2012 15:55

Isla fave

Isabel not so fave, not because it's not a lovely name but it's too popular imho.

aPirateInaPearTree · 19/11/2012 15:56

Phoebe?

SoupDragon · 19/11/2012 15:58

Isla

StuckInTheFensAwayFromHome · 19/11/2012 15:59

My fave is jasmine (only one on your list that is also on mine!!!)

badtasteflump · 19/11/2012 16:01

Isla and Ava are lovely names - I also love Iris atm - not on your list I know but wanted to share Smile

Least favourite is Isabel because it's way too popular now.

telsa · 19/11/2012 16:05

I love Jasmine. Also Jessamy and Jessica

ChippingInLovesAutumn · 19/11/2012 16:09

Emilia - No, Emily or Amelia are both OK
Jasmine - Used to like it, gone off it through over use (sorry stuckinthefens)
Isabel - knock knock joke
Maisie - No 1 from your list
Isla - Not unless you want her to be one of 6 in her class, doesn't go with Lily
Ava - The one I know is a right little pain in the tush! So I wouldn't.

VerySmallSqueak · 19/11/2012 16:11

Jasmine.

excitedfirsttimer · 19/11/2012 16:14

I like Isabel as I think Bella is a lovely nickname. Maisie is very cute but may be more of a little girl name than an adult name

YouOldSlag · 19/11/2012 16:18

I like Jasmine best - you can't say it without thinking of beautiful flower.

Isabel is everywhere. Emilia is OK, like Emilia Fox. Maisie is awful- reminds of Maisy's Farm.

Ava- meh. Isla makes me think of Isla St Claire (old gimmer)

Lavenderhoney · 19/11/2012 16:18

Do you like flower names? Violette is nice( well, I like it:)

I like Isabel out of your list. Very pretty:)

ksrwr · 19/11/2012 16:20

Jasmine

Beamur · 19/11/2012 16:22

I like Jasmine the least, but it does 'go' well with Lily - if you wanted 2 flower named girls.
Like Ava and Emilia the best.
They are all nice, sweet names though.
