What do you think of Celeste as a girl's name? I haven't put it to dp yet, out of curiosity I'd like to gauge public opinion first.

Love it!

delilah88 · 19/09/2012 14:56

Love it too!

jennycrofter · 19/09/2012 14:57

You'd have to buy a complete set of Babar books - but you'll probably do that anyway. A very sweet name.

MrsJohnDeere · 19/09/2012 15:08

I like it.

LuellaLovesLavender · 19/09/2012 15:41

Beautiful name I would have to comment on how lovely it is if I met a little girl called Celeste! It has a whimsical feel to it and I bet she wouldn't end up being one of many in her class!

CakeBump · 19/09/2012 15:45

Love it.

Very pretty but not in the vein of all the Daisys and Maisys out there at the moment.

Psammead · 19/09/2012 16:08

I like it, and the meaning.

amck5700 · 19/09/2012 18:09

I know a grown up one - she is the loveliest lady you could imagine - great name.

Beamur · 19/09/2012 18:10

I like it, but can't say it! Not easy to say with a lisp.

Mollydoggerson · 19/09/2012 18:13

Name of a contraceptive pill - dodgey.

Pretty, but open to ridicule.

love it

Lulabellarama · 19/09/2012 18:21

It was my favourite, but is utterly ridiculous with our surname.
Please use it

littlebrownmouse · 19/09/2012 18:21

I used to be on the pill. It was called cillest.

Honsandrevels · 19/09/2012 18:21

I love it! DH said "as in Daphne and Celeste?". I doubt many people think of a very short lived late 90's rubbish band.

I wish we'd chosen it as a middle name at least. I also like Celestine.

AWomanCalledHorse · 19/09/2012 18:22

Love.
Although my first thought is 90's pop duo Daphene & Celeste.

AWomanCalledHorse · 19/09/2012 18:22

Grin Hons, well timed cross post!

noddyholder · 19/09/2012 18:22

Love it too

CastielsTrenchcoat · 19/09/2012 18:23

Beautiful, I remember reading a book as a little girl about a girl who joins a new school called Celeste it turns out she's an angel in the end it gave me rather an obsession with the name Smile

Kaekae · 19/09/2012 18:25

I like it but does remind me of molest.

LaFataTurchina · 19/09/2012 18:28

Love it :)

My absolute favourite and most beloved childhood teddy was a bunny called Celeste. She's still at my parent's house.
(she was pronounced the Italian way tho, - cheleste')

LaFataTurchina · 19/09/2012 18:28

eek bad apostrophe!

SparklyGothKat · 19/09/2012 18:28

I love it but it reminds me of cruel intentions.
