Middle name for Amber-need to register her!

FirstOffTheMark · 14/08/2012 21:45

Going to register dd on Friday. She is Amber, and but haven't decided on a middle name.

We think either Amber Hope or Amber Elizabeth.

Only thing is Elizabeth is my name, address but it is also a family name in both families. Is it weird to give her my name as middle name?

Any other suggestions? DH has already rejected Rose and Faith which I like.

What about Amber Beth?

I like Amber Hope too :)

You don't have to have a middle name

FirstOffTheMark · 14/08/2012 22:04

I know we don't have to have one. Ds has one though and don't want her to feel hard done by as second child (one of dh's brothers feels this way!)

I think it's nice to have a middle name.

What about Amber Grace?

pestooneverything · 14/08/2012 22:10

Amber Elizabeth sounds great.
Its nice that it's your name too!

What pesto said!

Elizabeth is a great name as so many NNs. My best friend when we were little had Elizabeth as her middle name and I was jealous!

BikeMedalsRunningMedals · 14/08/2012 22:34

LOL! My DD has two middle names - one of them is Hope so I was going to day go for Hope - but the other is my name (also family name) so I was going to say go for that!!

NoComet · 14/08/2012 22:36

Mum's name as middle name is sort of a tradition here. I have my Mum's, DSIL has her Mum's and DD1 has mine (well my NN as I never use the full version).

DH has said no to Grace.

Maybe I'll flip a coin in the registry office.

Amber Louise?

Elizabeth is a great name too.

threefeethighandrising · 14/08/2012 22:54

Grace is soooo overused as a middle name! (Sorry to any mums of Graces!)

lessemin · 14/08/2012 22:56

Gris

Luckystar96 · 14/08/2012 23:05

I think it'd be lovely for her to be named after you. I like the idea of Beth, it's lovely and she will be proud to be named after you in some way.

Go for Amber Elizabeth. It sounds lovely, especially as it's a family name. Not weird to have your name as middle name at all. Go for it! The only other name that popped into my head was Amber Florence, but I think you should go with Elizabeth. Please let us know what you decided!

mathanxiety · 14/08/2012 23:34

Elizabeth is a great middle name to go with Amber, and not one bit strange to give her your name as a mn.

RustyBear · 14/08/2012 23:36

My Amber is Amber Alexandra.

workshy · 14/08/2012 23:39

workshy · 14/08/2012 23:39
