Middle name for Amber-need to register her!

Going to register dd on Friday. She is Amber, and but haven't decided on a middle name.

We think either Amber Hope or Amber Elizabeth.

Only thing is Elizabeth is my name, address but it is also a family name in both families. Is it weird to give her my name as middle name?

Any other suggestions? DH has already rejected Rose and Faith which I like.

Just register her as Amber, then you have a year to add the middle name.

Why on earth would you think it weird to name your own baby after yourself? You're obviously not aware of family history naming conventions.

Definately go for Elizabeth if that's what you like - don't worry about it being your name.

My DS has my DH's middle name as his middle name and my DD has my first name has her middle name :)

Not Amber Rose. A girl at dds school has been called custard for the last 2 yrs after someone missheard it as ambrosia.

I think Amber Elizabeth is great and you should go with it, but if you're unsure, how about one of the many variations/ nn's? She'd still then have a family name that related to yours.
