We are struggling to find a girls name we like, our DD is Iris. We have been ruling out names beginning with B and those ending in -y or -ie because they don't sound great with our surname, but we are desperate now so if we find a name we like we may waiver our rules! All suggestions appreciated...

Irene is fabulous isn't it. We dropped Irene and Eileen from our list for the same reason though.

My Gran and Great-Aunt were Iris and Audrey

(Iris has been around in my family for aaages)

I want a little Ernie!! I like Elsa, love Olive as it goes so well with Iris (I know a baby Olive Iris!). On the Meryl theme how about Merrin or Murran? I actually quite like Amy, you don't get many nowadays.
Some fantastic names on here but unfortunately my OH is boring so not even going to bother suggesting any! Our dd is destined to be nameless Sad!

Dessie, our DD is destined to be nameless too because we can't agree on names! Hope you manage to come to a decision, it's really difficult isn't it?! Thanks for your thoughts, I really like Elsa at the moment too, Olive and Meryl have been ruled out by DP Sad Still working on it though! Good luck to you!

Elsa?
My Dd is Elsa and we are considering Iris for our next baby if it's a girl. I think Elsa and Iris sound lovely together!

Yes, Elsa and Iris do sound nice together don't they?! Does Elsa's name get mistaken for Ella/Ellie or do people make the distinction easily?
