Eloise - lovely
Phoebe - cute, I like it
Ivy - not keen, coronation st connotations for me
Serena - won't comment as went to school with one who wasn't very nice
Elise - nice but Eloise seems less harsh?
Ariella - Tree Fu Tom
Elyssa - not that keen
Eva - pretty but possibly overused (if that bothers you, doesn't bother me)
Grace - a bit 'meh' for me but a pretty name
Ava - beautiful name but would feel like I was copying celebs if I used it
Heidi - Love this
Paige - don't like this, don't know why. Think it's a bit masculine sounding for my liking.

whenyouseeitwaveorcheer · 30/06/2012 20:34

COngrats btw Smile

bouncysmiley · 30/06/2012 20:41

Too many Evas and Graces, otherwise all unusual. Ariella is my fave if i had to choose.

invicta · 30/06/2012 20:46

Don't particularly like Paige, ivy, Elyssa or Elise ( not heard of last two names). Love the rest of your names.

RuthlessBaggage · 30/06/2012 20:46

Congratulations!

Eloise - I like the sound but I think it looks ugly written down.
Phoebe - like lots and know several.
Ivy - I am not into old-lady chic but lots of people love it.
Serena - not my style but classic and elegant.
Elise - don't like
Ariella - a character on Tree Fu Tom I could cheerfully exterminate. Nice name spoiled!
Elyssa - Hideous. How did this get on your otherwise classy list?
Eva - boring.
Grace - vastly overused.
Ava - see Eva. And expect to have to correct between them forever.
Heidi - I know several but like.
Paige - yik.

johnnycomelurky · 30/06/2012 20:53

Love them all except Phoebe (reminds me of Friends) and Elyssa as think it's too frilly somehow. I really love Paige, though don't go there if your last name is Turner Wink

boyfallingoutofthesky · 30/06/2012 21:34

Eloise - not keen, but nothing wrong with it just think there are nicer names
Phoebe - like, although quite popular
Ivy - really like
Serena - like, but imagine yourself shouting for 2 year old serena as she throws a tantrum in tescos. seren is nice as an alternative.
Elise - makes me think of a sports brand, and slightly of lice so don't like. what about eliza?
Ariella - like but prefer arielle
Elyssa - don't like, sounds made up
Eva - lovely but quite popular
Grace - ok, also popular
Ava - nice but extremely popular
Heidi - bit twee for me, not sure if suits a grown up
Paige - really dislike. there are so many lovely girls' names have never understood why anyone would choose this, it does not sound or look nice or have a particularly nice meaning.

so, in summary i think i like ivy best from your list, then eva and phoebe but would be put off by their popularity. also arielle or eliza (though not actually on your list!)

WillowTheWitch · 30/06/2012 21:35

I have a Phoebe so rather bias Grin of your other names I love Elise and Heidi

MerylStrop · 30/06/2012 21:36

VolAuVent · 30/06/2012 22:17

My favourites are Ivy, Grace, Serena.

Eloise - OK
Phoebe - quite like
Ivy - like
Serena - like
Elise - OK
Ariella - TV aerial, how about Arianna?
Elyssa - quite like, prefer spelling Alisa
Eva - nice but super-popular
Grace - like
Ava - see Eva
Heidi - not keen
Paige - not keen

Badgerina · 30/06/2012 23:04

Phoebe. Really like the name Phoebe. Don't really like any of your others.

Beamur · 30/06/2012 23:08

Like - Serena, Elise, Eva, Grace, Ava & Heidi
Not so keen on - Eloise, Phoebe, Ariella, and Paige
Don't like - Ivy or Elyssa, Ivy is a marmite one and I really don't like the way it looks or sounds and Elyssa sounds like a Lidl brand.

toobreathless · 01/07/2012 00:55

Strongly dislike: Phoebe, HATE the nickname 'phebs'

Too Trendy & will date: Eva & Ava.

Popular but timeless: Grace (but Gracie would be with Eva/Ava)

Sounds made up: Ariella

Too American: Elyssa

LOVE: Ivy & Serena

Quite Like: Heidi

Don't mind: Paige, Elise, Eloiuse.

Or:
Elodie
Eliza
Elizabeth
April
Avril
Ariel
Seren
Iona
Alice

StrawberrytallCAKE · 01/07/2012 19:14

Thanks, I love Elodie but can't have it unfortunately.

Can I use Summer for a December baby?

DH loves Paige and my favourite is Phoebe from the list but I have gone off Paige now as it's a bit masculine and I have another dd (Isabella) and I'm not sure they would be very equal.

Eloise -- prefer Louise or Louisa
Phoebe -- nice
Ivy --nice, maybe a bit prim
Serena -- gorgeous
Elise -- nice but a bit meh; a bit middle nameish
Ariella -- too frilly and Disneyesque
Elyssa -- too frilly, Disneyesque, and downmarket
Eva -- gorgeous
Grace -- nice but maybe a bit boring
Ava -- very popular, but nice
Heidi -- goats and blonde plaits and the smell of goats
Paige -- dislike

My favourites are Serena and Eva.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 01/07/2012 19:52

Eloise - love it
Phoebe - don't like
Ivy - ok
Serena - don't like
Elise - love it
Ariella - don't like
Elyssa - hate
Eva - ok
Grace - ok
Ava - ok
Heidi - like it
Paige - ok only

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 01/07/2012 19:54

Isabella would go nicely with Eloise/Elise or Heidi - all pretty.

AGreenie · 01/07/2012 20:03

I like Ivy - had an Aunt Ivy and she was a special person.
My youngest daughter's middle name is Elise - she's Norah Elise - we couldn't decide which we liked best so had googled them and decided to put together.....
Eloise is lovely too
Congratulations btw!

kickingKcurlyC · 01/07/2012 20:13

I think Serena goes best with Isabella.

holyfishnets · 01/07/2012 20:18

would you add Aurora to the list? Ava and Ivy I adore - classic and chic names. The rest I'm luke warm about.

exoticfruits · 01/07/2012 20:20

Eloise or Phoebe.
The worst is 'poison' Ivy or 'clinging' Ivy.

SoozyWoozy · 01/07/2012 20:53

Eloise - love it (I have one!) but it does get mis-spelt a lot, and people seem to automatically shorten to Ellie.
Phoebe - reminds me of Friends, will get shortened to Pheebs. Like it, not love it.
Ivy - I know a very cute little Ivy, but not a name I'd chose myself.
Serena - dislike.
Elise - I associate with the Lotus car, so no.
Ariella - no
Elyssa - no
Eva - like but v popular
Grace - like, but again lots about, inc Gracie
Ava - as Eva, but I like
Heidi - not for me, but I went to primary school with a quirky Heidi, so maybe that's why?!
Paige - dislike.

randomimposter · 01/07/2012 20:56

with Isabella either Eloise or Grace

mummybare · 01/07/2012 21:03

Ivy, Eva and Ava are all quite trendy at the moment, which would put me off, but they are nice names.

I don't like Heidi or Paige, but do like all the rest. In particular I like Serena (would nn Reeny personally), Elise and Phoebe.

Congratulations!

manicinsomniac · 01/07/2012 23:00

Eloise - not keen really, I think it sounds a bit nasal.
Phoebe - quite like it
Ivy - it's growing on me. And I've never met one.
Serena - dislike
Elise - quite like it. Nicer than Eloise
Ariella - never heard it but it has a nice sound to it.
Elyssa - Love it
Eva - Love it
Grace - nice
Ava - Love it
Heidi - nice
Paige - it's ok.

I would go for Elyssa followed by Eva, Ivy or Ava.
