Single syllable girls names?

We have some names in mind for DC2, however I was thinking how everything seem a mouthful with our surname. My son has a single syllable name as our surname is three syllables, I think that might be part of it.

So thought I would try and think of some girls names. But could only think of Eve. Any other ideas?

We really liked Emma, but could think of anything to put with it as it seemed very "short"! I know it's two syllables, but it might still work with a three syllable surname?

Rose?

You could always look at a longer name which can be shortened to a single syllable-

Joanna / Jo
Rebecca /Bex
Florence / Flo
Samantha / Sam
and so on...

Or some other single syllable ones:

Cecile
June
Sue
Gail

Meg... my favourite girls name!

I would prefer a name that isn't shortened. I have a name that is very commonly shortened and it bugs me that I have two names and have to ask people to call me by my short name.

Thanks for all the suggestions

Some really good suggestions here: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/baby_names/1450183-Single-syllable-girls-names-unusual-but-not-too-unusual

I like Wren but I don't know if I'm brave enough to use it!
