It is suggested on some misguided baby name threads, how do you say it?

Nev-vay-er
My nieces name actually, an I like it. I won't even dignify it with a response to your sad piss taking though, just think it's a bit sad that some people have only come on here to mock, or bizarrely look down on those who call their children certain names. Surely you should look to yourselves and realize the only problem with the name lays with you.

bronze · 22/05/2012 22:23

Agree trestle I like verra cruz

Booette · 22/05/2012 22:40

Oh no, I know someone with a daughter called Taome. I just thought it was an unusual take on Naomi. The Apple Of My Eye. Oh dear. Trying to remember her son's name now. It was also odd.

muminthecity · 22/05/2012 22:49

Elbib is a great name, I will suggest it to friend for next baby.

How very dare you insult Susej though, it's a great name, nothing like Sausage; it's clearly pronounced Sooz-ay.

I also like Natas, Lived (pronounced Liv-eed) and Reficul.

PickledFanjoCat · 22/05/2012 23:00

Natas! Imagine!

Pumpster · 22/05/2012 23:10

Mine are Gabtihs, Epiwesra and Maercmub. Not sure about Nevaeh but Lleh has a ring about it.

CaoNiMa · 23/05/2012 04:49

BoysWillGrow, it's still a fucking idiotic name, however you try and justify it.

Thumbwitch · 23/05/2012 05:05

Nev-ay-uh. I know one - she is a few months old. Names like this are routine in Australia, I am finding. In DS's dance class, he has a Destiny, an Angel, oh and another one along similar lines that I can't remember just now.

I have troubles sometimes holding myself in.

SodoffBaldrick · 23/05/2012 07:29

"Surely you should look to yourselves and realize the only problem with the name lays with you."

Explain, please.

CaptainHetty · 23/05/2012 07:57

It's a nonsense word, hence everyone who uses it pronounces it completely differently; because there is no 'proper' pronunciation of a word that doesn't actually mean anything.

ButterPecanMuffin · 23/05/2012 09:12

Oh but CaptainHetty, it does mean something, to the "tryndee mommies" that use it, it still means 'heaven'.

In Tryndee Mommy World, you can flip words backwards, and they still mean the same thing.

Try telling a Tryndee Mommy any different and they get very angry.

CaptainHetty · 23/05/2012 09:40

I might start calling myself Ylime, 'cos, y'know, it's still the same, it's just spelt backwards :o

Voidka · 23/05/2012 09:43

My name is the same either wayr round, so my parents must be trendy yeah right!

I have the best name Eznorb Grin

Tessa617 · 24/05/2012 03:29

As I am an Asset I just wanted to say I knew a very nice Neva who was originally from Australia and I thought that was a good name. But not Nevaeh. Dreadful.

Frontpaw · 24/05/2012 07:57

Reminds me of the Sengas you used to meet in Glasgow. Its Agnes backwards I was at school with a Sehnnnnn-gah. You need the accent to get the full effect.

NorfolkNChance · 24/05/2012 08:13

Do multi faith names work too? Nar'uq for example has a tryndee apostrophe, Artus would be lovely for a boy, Bihas Htarg Urgu is a bit of a mouthful!

Harot, a bit close to harlot? Atig Davagahb, quite like Atig

Asef · 29/12/2023 20:10

I read the posts and found it quite hilarious 😂

It's really not that hard to say if your able to read and speak.

Ne vaeh. Not Nivea. Not Neveah as this would be pronounced
Ne ve ah, which is not heaven spelt backwards as it would not spell heaven it would spell haeven.

Asef · 29/12/2023 20:54

How on earth did you get never from Nevaeh?

Asef · 29/12/2023 20:55

How on earth did you get never from Nevaeh?

Asef · 29/12/2023 20:58

Well if we look at typical names I'm guessing you'd probably pick like jasmine or willow. Why stop there? why not birch or horse chestnut. Names of the month- June, may, April why not December or February?

HyggeTyggeDotCom · 29/12/2023 21:54

There is a Nevaeh in my daughters dance class as she pronounces it nuh-vuh -misses point of thread

Princessfluffy · 31/12/2023 12:59

Spelling names or words backwards is just a strange thing to do. I'm not fond of Senga or Neveah.

If the parents think it's clever/cute it's down to them though, not everyone will like any name after all.
