Lovely story about a gorgeous baby girl delivered by her Dad in minutes in the family bathroom: www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leeds-18070257

Her proud mum and dad have named her Bo-Pierre which leads me to wonder: what's the most unusual hypenated name you've come across?

Lovely story!

Pierre is the French version of Peter, so that's an interesting name choice.

Pasiphae · 16/05/2012 14:00

Marie-Pierre for a girl and Pierre-Marie for a boy, both very normal French names.
I know a Jordan-Louise and I always found the juxtaposition of cheesy and uber classic very odd.

flipflopper · 16/05/2012 15:54

D'arcy for a boy, its not hyphenated, but it's different!
I wouldnt be brave enough to use it and i know dh wouldnt like it.

nizlopi · 16/05/2012 16:46

I saw that. Her brother is called Jayden-Lee or something similarly dreadful. Bo-Pierre? That's a millstone around the neck is what that is.

oikopolis · 16/05/2012 16:58

poor child. what a dreadful name.

recently on a list of recently registered names, i saw girls Charla-Gwyne and Joy-Joviale.

and a boy called Benny-Thiessen-Reimer. LOL

Badgerina · 16/05/2012 19:08

Bo-Pierre? God awful.

Worst I've ever come across? Joy-Princess.

nizlopi · 16/05/2012 19:14

Oh. My. God. My name could have been Joy-Princess instead of Joy Sophie?!

PARENTS WHY DID YOU FORSAKE ME!?

meditrina · 16/05/2012 19:14

Bo is a Scandinavian boys name and Pierre is a French boys name. I'd find this mix odd on a boy, let alone a girl.

thegreylady · 16/05/2012 19:15

She will be little Bo Peep forever!

winkle2 · 16/05/2012 23:25

D'karma

MakeHayAndSneeze · 16/05/2012 23:38

There's an NFL player called D'Brickashaw Ferguson. It was DH's and my go-to pisstake name when choosing names for DC....

WhatSheSaid · 16/05/2012 23:41

Worst I've come across - Murphy-Li (girl) and Deja-Maree (girl). Mind you. I do live in a country where Nevaeh (heaven backwards) is in the top 50 most popular names Hmm

VictoriaWould · 16/05/2012 23:42

Kaydeelee-Princess. Oh yes.

VictoriaWould · 16/05/2012 23:44

I thought a nevae was a sort of birth mark.

WhatSheSaid · 16/05/2012 23:50

Oh I've thought of another, it's not hyphenated though - it's Oh Shaye. Like someone has heard the surname O'Shea and just decided to completely misspell it and use it as a first name.

DonInKillerHeels · 16/05/2012 23:54

These are just hysterical.

Bo-Pierre though....ugh. Little Bo Peep. No.

CaoNiMa · 17/05/2012 14:19

Troy-Francis.

emblosion · 17/05/2012 17:24

Danna-Kaye and Sanna-Kaye (twins)

hiviolet · 17/05/2012 20:17

Sky-Mia.

Can't decide what it resembles more: a skin disease or a cleaning product Grin

TastesLikePanda · 18/05/2012 00:21

Molly-J and Tyler-D

Hyphenated but just initials... I had to fight to keep my eyebrows from raising...

HolyCameraConfusionBatman · 18/05/2012 00:38

I'm loving Molly-J and Tyler-D. Are their parents rappers?

Some of these are jaw droppingly awful. Kaydeelee-Princess? WTAF?

SilkStalkings · 18/05/2012 13:03

I remember a baby girl named Piper-Noveaux on a different baby forum. Yes the French word was deliberately spelled wrong and they didn't seem to care that it was male and plural. Some people have the oddest logic.

SilkStalkings · 18/05/2012 13:04

Oh and I overheard a mum calling her dd Star-Lily yesterday, hyphen can only be assumed. At least that had some sort of sense to it.

AKMD · 18/05/2012 15:09

Bo-Pierre is a girl's name? Interesting.

I raise you K-Lee for a boy.

LetLoveRule · 18/05/2012 16:46

When I was on the maternity ward in a South London hospital, the newly born baby girl in the next bay was Crystal Alice... her dad was a huge Crystal Palace fan!
