I knew a Stevie but it was technically Stephanie.

I like it

Quite cute as a shortened version of something else. Not as the actual name though.

Weeeelll? put it this way, there's a prolific MNer with this name who is in the process of changing it to Evie. (Unless she's decided against as her mum got upset - not sure what happened next.)

Possibly ok if it was short for something. I would be very unfair to give your daughter a boys name as her only option.

Stevie nicks has done alright.

I know girl twins called billie and Stevie.

Could use something like evelyn ( Evie), but use stevie?

So sorry to have offended, that was harsh of me, but Stranded has given you a good account of what it's like to have this kind of name. Unfair, IMO.

I know a little baby Stevie. I think its sweet, although I would use it as a nn for Stephanie.

i know a 27yr old called Stevie, she has always been fine with it, but as she is not a particularly nice person, i wouldnt use it as a name as it makes me think of her.

One of my children is known as stevie.

But he is a boy called steven

I love it. The adult Stevie I know has never had a problem with it. In fact she is regularly complimented.
