Just curious as it will make no difference as we are set on it.

I haven't met one yet, although we live in a fairly rural area.

I think it is beautiful and love it. Dh wasn't sure with our previous dcs so couldn't use but now he likes it :)

Can't wait until she is here to start using it.

Just the middle name that we can't decide on.

My friends dd is Iris Rose :) I love it! Makes me want a girl!

LondonMumsie · 26/02/2012 20:30

Three - two little girls, one teacher

threecurrantbuns · 26/02/2012 20:35

Dh loves Iris Rose, but I'm not sure about two flower names.

Atm we are between Elizabeth and Amelia as middle names...I think lol

Minty82 · 26/02/2012 20:42

One aged about 10. Beautiful name.

FilterCoffee · 26/02/2012 20:50

I know one little Iris.

threecurrantbuns · 26/02/2012 20:52

Elizabeth is always the one we come back to, so my gut feeling is she will be Iris Elizabeth. So can't wait for her to arrive 8 weeks and counting :)

One, a new baby.

peeriebear · 26/02/2012 20:56

I don't know any. It's lovely- I can't use it because it clashes with our surname!

BeckyBrandonNeeBloomwood · 26/02/2012 20:59

I don't know of any! but am going to add to my own potential girls names list Grin

peggyblackett · 26/02/2012 21:03

One, aged 86. It is also one of my dd2's middle names.

monkeyroo · 26/02/2012 21:07

Hi,
I don't know any Iris's, but I love it. Thought about it for DD1 but our surname starts and ends with an s, and I had a thing that we couldn't have a first name that ended with an s because it doesn't seem to flow quite right. Am pregnant again and love Iris, in fact all my fave names end in s! What do people think? Sorry for slight hijack, but it is Iris related Smile

Tillyscoutsmum · 26/02/2012 21:09

One 2 year old and 3 old people

tummytickler · 26/02/2012 21:11

I only know one Iris, my 11 year old dd. She is an Iris Matilda and named partly for family, partly for Iris Murdoch and mostly because we adored the name.
We met another in the park once, but don't know of any others.
I also used to work with newborn babies and never met one at work either.

KatieMiddleton · 26/02/2012 21:13
  1. But that is about 8% of all the little girls I know.
HolyNoSheDittantBatman · 26/02/2012 21:18

I know 2, but one pronounces it 'eye-ris' and the other is 'i-ris' (i and in ink). Both under 3.

Showmethemhappyfeet · 26/02/2012 22:17

Iv just recommended this today for my brothers new baby! What a coincidence !
