How many girls do you know with the name Iris?

Just curious as it will make no difference as we are set on it.

I haven't met one yet, although we live in a fairly rural area.

None till last week, one of my good friends just called her new baby iris may, sister is maisey,think it is lovely ,don't know. Any others.

I know three, one is 18mths and the others are in their late 50's or early 60's.

3 all babies, so I think its definitely on the rise popularity-wise.

Bear in mind with any popular name (as I have found - grrr!) that although you like it, your DD will always be known as Iris A or Iris B (or the even worse variations of 'little Iris' and 'big Iris'!)

I've never met an Iris. It's a beautiful name. Sadly, it always reminds me of the child prostitute in Taxi Driver, otherwise I would have considered using it.
