Just wondering, in these times when 'old man' names are all the rage, what do we think of this?

50s

and a duck

lisaro · 14/02/2012 18:15

50's/60's. Actually it immediately brought to mind Donald the swinger from Benidorm.

MrsJohnDeere · 14/02/2012 18:16

40s (because the one I know in RL is )

Duck

ScoutJemAndBoo · 14/02/2012 18:17

Do hear duck mentioned a lot.

I immediately thought of Donald Fisher from Home and Away. So it conjures up old and boring for me!

Tirana · 14/02/2012 18:17

About 60 and Scottish.

Though Don makes me think of Don Draper in Mad Men so I think of it as being quite a cool name now.

Kayzr · 14/02/2012 18:17

63 because that's the age of my great Uncle Donald

ScoutJemAndBoo · 14/02/2012 18:18

Ps i know of two in their 20s, two in their teens and one little un.

I do live in Scotland though, which might influence it, though not the western isles where I am sure Donalds are ten a penny!

miserable git

I know 2 donalds, both ove 50 and both miserable gits

FoofFighter · 14/02/2012 18:21

I know a fair few Donalds of all ages but like you am in Scotland.

I think it's lovely for a little boy :) but then I do have a bias

Peekabooooo · 14/02/2012 18:21

I instantly think DUCK, but I would say 50s/60s.

ScoutJemAndBoo · 14/02/2012 18:22

Foo, I may have a bit of a bias too Wink

Where's your trousers!

freerangeeggs · 14/02/2012 18:23

I'd expect him to be a middle-aged man. I'm from Scotland but actually haven't known many.

I could see it on a younger person. I think Donnie is a really lovely nickname.

ArielNonBio · 14/02/2012 18:23

About 55, with a ginger beard, sideburns and kilt.

vitaminC · 14/02/2012 18:24

60s/70s
Not "old" enough to make a comeback just yet, I don't think...

NoWayNoHow · 14/02/2012 18:25

Donald is the same age as Donald Fisher, old headmaster of Summer Bay High in Home and Away. So about 112.

ScoutJemAndBoo · 14/02/2012 18:27

Lol just as well I am thick-skinned!

NiceViper · 14/02/2012 19:29

I thought Rumsfeld.

Meglet · 14/02/2012 19:30

Trump.

Could do worse!

VeronicaSpeedwell · 14/02/2012 19:36

67, with a baby blue Pringle jumper. Though I do know of a baby one.

DesperatelySeekingSedatives · 14/02/2012 19:36

About 60.

Althought to be honest the first thing I think of is a duck. I'm not a fan tbh. Of the duck, that is. Or the name.

SauvignonBlanche · 14/02/2012 19:41

I know a 40 yr old and a 4yr old.

Sticklebug · 14/02/2012 19:42

About 60
