What do you think ladies?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
cashmere · 12/02/2012 15:49

Harriet or just Jane much nicer

jandymaccomesback · 12/02/2012 15:56

Haven't you seen the adverts featuring "Jusrol Janet"? If they carry on with that campaign there will be ample scope for teasing in the future.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 12/02/2012 18:49

I'm going to have that song in my head all night now!

No, sorry.

ScoutJemAndBoo · 12/02/2012 18:53

Nooooooooooooo and noooooo

jenniferkk · 12/02/2012 19:23

jaffacakehips · 12/02/2012 19:25

ggirl · 12/02/2012 19:27

Plonker · 12/02/2012 19:27

No.

tumble8 · 13/02/2012 16:54

sorry havnt read through so may be repeaing, what about Janice?

Clawdy · 13/02/2012 16:59

Janice looks so much better spelt Janis,as in Joplin......

Greenwing · 14/02/2012 15:41

I like Janet.

How about naming her the classic Jane like 'Jane Eyre' and using Janet as a nickname, which I think it originally was? That would keep her options open for the future and you can't go wrong with a Bronte heroine!

alessthandomesticgoddess · 14/02/2012 15:43

No.

Charlotteperkins · 14/02/2012 22:51

What about Jean instead?

Or Joan?

Or just Jan?

VickityBoo · 14/02/2012 22:56

I like it, but it's my mums name (born in late 1940's). Mum on the other hand can't stand it lol.

TheOriginalSteamingNit · 14/02/2012 22:56

you cant go wrong with a bronte names

How about Shirley? ;)

Selks · 14/02/2012 22:58

Frumpy. Not good.

jandymaccomesback · 15/02/2012 09:16

Greenwing I believe you are right.I have seen Janet referred to as "little Jane".
Well OP seems most people would advise against it. Have they convinced you?

marmiteandjam · 15/02/2012 10:57

People might think you are only doing it because of Janet from the X Factor.

Also, it's awful.

Bue · 15/02/2012 18:14

Objectively, it's actually a pretty name. But it's not due a comeback yet, sorry. Something like Jean would 'fit' better with with the new baby Ediths etc.

PestoPenguin · 15/02/2012 18:44

No

GladysLeap · 15/02/2012 19:04

Noooooo! It's such a harsh sounding name. When they had baby Janet on EE it really jarred. It doesn't sound like a baby's name.

jandymaccomesback · 15/02/2012 19:54

Hmm. Personally I think Jean is just as bad as Janet.

zozzle · 15/02/2012 20:49

Its ok - refreshing change from granny names. Prefer Jane though.

lilmamma · 15/02/2012 21:07

no defently not it was out in the 50/60,s and wasnt a pretty name either back then sorry..

dontellimpike · 15/02/2012 21:43

Dr Finlay's housekeeper.
