Wow you had a long list!
Dd2 would have been Tyra or Leila although I had a moment when I wanted Desiree VERY badly
Dd1 we agreed from day one

Offspring · 08/02/2012 03:43

Had DS been a DD I wanted either Delphine or Elsa. I thought myself very generous for giving him an option of one or the other Grin. He vetoed both to my utter devastation, but it turned out to be a moot point anyway.

I can't complain though, I did get my first choice for both DD and DS.

3boysgirlontheway · 08/02/2012 08:56

Baby girl on the way would have been Hattie. The boys all got names that I loved, we agree much more on boys names than girls names.
Although DS1 would have had much more thought put into his name (same name as his dad)

heartmoonshadow · 08/02/2012 10:00

For DS I would have like Malachi or Isaac. I wanted Tamsin ore Genevieve for my new baby but husband does not like either.

Kayano · 08/02/2012 10:43

Eden for a girl Grin

MalibuStacy · 08/02/2012 12:22

I was pregnant in the late 80s, and had I had a girl, I was going to call her Jordan. I just thought it was the coolest name in the world. This was before Katie Price, obviously.

AmazingBouncingFerret · 08/02/2012 14:58

If it wasnt for DH then DD would of been Rosalie and DS would of been either Michael or Sebastian.

diddl · 08/02/2012 16:28

Hebe.

LaTristesse · 08/02/2012 17:22

DS we agreed on, but we're currently arguing about the incoming DD - I like Arianne, Chai, Indi, Gaia... he doesn't.

LikeAnAdventCandleButNotQuite · 08/02/2012 17:37

DD would have been Aoife
DS would have been Gus

We have neither blasted DH

recall · 08/02/2012 17:38

I wouldnt use kimberley, lila or eden for a girl now. I like constance, isadora and hazel which I hadn't considered then.

I also wouldn't use bobby or dexter for a boy now but I do like brody.

DS would have been Hazel had he been a girl (which I still love).

Boys names I liked but wasn't brave enough to use include: Aneurin, Blaise, Percy, Valerian, Orion and Saul

I've always thought Gethsemane would be a lovely name for a girl, and I like Persephone too.

Somersaults · 12/02/2012 00:48

DD would have been Grace as my first choice but DH will not have any virtues or characteristics name (eg Hope, Faith) and also wouldn't consider names that are other words (best example I can come up with now is Pearl) and he wouldn't have flowers either so no Rose or Lily etc. He was v.boring all round actually. I also really liked Posy after a character from Ballet Shoes but he looked at me as if I had three heads when I suggested that one. I would have considered Lyra from Northern Lights as a middle name too.

For boys I like really normal names so he agreed with me instantly on our boys choice. First name suggested was Alexander, we both agreed so that was that. I didn't tell him I planned on shortening it to Sasha though :)

It would have been so easy had she been a boy. As it was she had no name for a couple of hours.

VelcroFanjo · 12/02/2012 00:58

If ds1 had been a girl he would have been Willow..bloody glad he is a boy..size 9 feet and 5"5 at 11..not exactly small! Dd1 was a really porky baby and is also tall for her age...glad we had given up on the name by then!

joanofarchitrave · 12/02/2012 01:04

Ds only narrowly avoided being Redgrave. TBH i think dh and i were double-daring each other.

I love long girls' names and would have loved Tabitha or Gabriella for a dd. Perhaps lucky we never had one as dh only seemed to be able to envisage using his mother's name.

CheerfulYank · 12/02/2012 01:10

Rex.

Indigo.

I'm sure there are more! :)
