I was gunning for Valentine and Doris.

For DD I wanted Verity or Constance. DH wanted Mary - we settled on Abigail.

For my DD I liked Alexandra Jayne, and for a boy Alexander James (so imaginative lol). Then I knew I was having a girl and I decided I liked Layla but DH vetoed. I was then reading a Jodi Pilcoult book and fell in love with one of the character names and DH liked a modified version and that was that.

I liked Winter for a boy and Autumn for a girl during my 2nd pregnancy, but DH pointed out we would start to sound like a Littlewoods Catalogue given what we named DD
Then I liked Drew (DH has Andrew as a middle name) but MIL hated it so DH agreed with her. She wanted us to call him Scott....
So we opted for a safe suits everyone name. And I wish to this day I had gone more out there - as it seems odd with DD having an out there name

Angharad or Esther or Rebecca

Rebecca was an ex of DH's

I got the name I wanted for DD but we had plenty of ideas and arguements along the way. For a long time DD was to be Amandine or Niobe, neither of which 'go' with our surname but I didn't care! I also had a few hours on Eve and Dawn but again doesn't work with surname.

Tostig.....but then I am a colossal knobhead.

I liked Thorbjørn for DS. How epic would that be?!

Hello, this is my son: Thorbjørn the THUNDERBEAR! He would suit it too.

p.s I also had Kester, Gryff, and Phineas (god how hormonal was I???)

I wanted Hemingway as a middle name for DS

Boy; Maverick Danger. full name, he would be such a chick magnet.

Girl; Zelda or Concetta.

Vinnie for a boy, Ashleigh for a girl.

When/if we have another the girls name I REALLY like are either Ophelia, Juliet, Olive or Elspeth. DP hates these names so I have no chance of using them.

The boys names I was going to name DS were either Miles, Braydon, Tobias or Zachary. DP hated Miles which was my personal favourite. So we settled for Noah.

Alice, Bridget, Angharad, Seonaid, Aoife and Niamh.

Psammead, I got one of yours.

Claudia, Lydia and Caroline. DP hated them all.

We agreed with boys names. It was just girl's names that were a struggle.

I love Aurelian for a boy, but a tad too poncey even for me. Settled on Fabian and Raphael (Rafe) for the DS' in the end

DP and I both quite liked Calypso but decided it was a bit too unusual.
