Juno?

We have a longish double barrelled surname and and our sons are called Alec and Guy so in the past we have obvs gone for 1 syllable names.

If #3 is a boy it'll be Miles or Magnus or Hugo/Hugh but we have nothing for a girl. I like Juno but it is not only the name of PIL's neighbour but is it a bit silly with a real Jilly Cooper of a surname?

Yes,but over the years it has become a euphemism for a large lady....

CheshireDing · 27/01/2012 17:32

Well I stick my head out and say I don't really like it, also people will think you just named her after the film (which probably wouldn't be so bad if the subject matter was better) Grin

Love Hugo though, that was to be our babys middle name if DD had been a boy.

AJH01 · 27/01/2012 18:15

I too have an Alec and our baby girl due in a few weeks is to be called Juno. Great minds think alike!

Clareypen · 27/01/2012 19:11

Gorgeous name, and fab film!
Love Hugo and Magus too...might add those to my evergrowing shortlist......

LaTristesse · 28/01/2012 20:03

DH really wants to call our DD this, but I'm going off it. It doesn't go well with our DS's name, but also it's not pretty enough somehow... I am a little bit tempted though!

I love this name, was ruled out very quickly for us though as the surname is Watt. Say it out loud...

Rhubarbgarden · 01/02/2012 07:39

I like it.

footflapper · 01/02/2012 07:50

I'd definately consider it :)

RnB · 03/02/2012 07:28

My favourite name for a future girl :) Love Magnus and Hugh/Hugo too (ds1's middle name is Hugh)

NannyPlumIsMyMum · 03/02/2012 07:30

Sorry I think it sounds chav .

33goingon64 · 03/02/2012 07:58

Queen Grin. I love it but DH won't let us have it cos of the film. I know someone with a Merlin, Noah and Juno.

PopcornBiscuit · 03/02/2012 09:31

Not keen, sorry.

nancerama · 03/02/2012 09:42

It was the name of one of the dolphins at Windsor safari park when I was a kid. I thought it sounded really cool then, and I still think it does.

winterland · 03/02/2012 09:50

I like it, it's definitely on my list too.

iseenodust · 03/02/2012 09:52

Sorry no. D'you know?

nearlymumofone · 03/02/2012 20:10

I love it but Dh is too narrowminded to consider anything out of the top 20 it seems!

I also have a Hugh, so it seems we like similar names!

Go for Juno, it's strong, interesting, beautiful.
