I only like Anna from your list.

tammytoby · 08/01/2012 22:54

Sandra is really pretty and underused these days.

mustdash · 08/01/2012 22:55

I met an Amalia last year, she was gorgeous. Her parents called her Mali for short which was very cute too. She was the first one I'd met, so not at all common either.

Anna is nice too, but not so keen on the others personally. Not that I know anything about these things.....

ReneeVivien · 08/01/2012 22:56

Anna is my favourite.
Then Amalia.

I don't like Wendy or Sandy.

JestersHat · 08/01/2012 23:26

Amalia - would get confused with Amelia
Anna - nice if a little dull
Wendy - a bit frumpy
Sandy - OK, perhaps as nickname for Alexandra

ElaineReese · 08/01/2012 23:28

Unless you're birthing a 47 year old woman, obviously Anna.

humblehippo · 08/01/2012 23:28

Anna

magicwoodyallenzombiejesus · 08/01/2012 23:33

Sorry agree with plonker dislike them all except Anna

DigOfTheStump · 08/01/2012 23:33

Anna

lisaro · 08/01/2012 23:40

Amalia sounds silly and made up. While I have a colleague named Wendy, it smack's of 60/70's. Anna is the only (to me) viable option, but that's still a bit blah.

ReneeVivien · 08/01/2012 23:42

Anna is a beautiful, classic name. I'm surprised it's not more popular - same goes for Rachel and Julia.

Sigma · 08/01/2012 23:50

What do you guys think of Amaya?

Anna is fabulously elegant.

Amalia sounds like a made-up celeb name to me, tbh. Ditto Amaya.

Sandra and Wendy are not my cup of tea at all, sorry. They both sound dated and unattractive to my ear.

bemybebe · 09/01/2012 00:07

Anna fan here
Would have used it for my bump but one of dsd is one

Jasper · 09/01/2012 00:10

Amalia sounds like a mental health problem.
Anna timeless, cool, sweet, strong

lurkinginthebackground · 09/01/2012 00:11

Anna.

hohohoshedittant · 09/01/2012 00:12

Love Anna. Not keen on the others.

Machasma · 09/01/2012 00:14

I think Amalia is lovely

ReduceRecycleRegift · 09/01/2012 00:19

Anna

boyfallingoutofthesky · 09/01/2012 06:34

Anna is beautiful.
Amalia - ok but lots of Amelias/Emilias around at moment and will get mixed up with them and misspelt/mispronounced
Wendy - can't find anything attractive about this name though have 2 family members with it (both born in 60s). Very 60s/70s though maybe you could be v cool and be ahead of the trend for reviving it.
Sandra - just awful, very middle-aged dinner lady. Alexandra is nice though.

Go for Anna!

flopsy1974 · 09/01/2012 09:42

Anna without a doubt Smile

3boysgirlontheway · 09/01/2012 09:46

Wendy, have a beautiful sister in law with this name, it really suits her.

whatstheetiquette · 09/01/2012 09:48

Anna is a lovely name.

Amalia sound like the country Somalia.
Wendy - ok name, but out of date for a baby.
Sandy - out of date and named after sand?

tummytickler · 09/01/2012 09:55

The only one I like is Wendy. It is on my list, I think it is super cool, especially as a nn for Gwendolyn. Brilliant name!

Not sure what Amalia is, but i don't like it, I do not like Amelia either.
Anna - dull. Anne is nice though, I just do not like Anna/Anabelle.
Sandy - no, boys name to me.

Montsti · 09/01/2012 10:54
