well actually the name i wanted was Tamsin Eloise but dh hates that so our names we have agreed on are:

Elsie May or Georgia May

is there any hideous reason not to use these which is the nicest?

our other children are Jessica, Jacob, Bethan and Emily

I like Georgia May.

tummytickler · 02/01/2012 21:11

Elizabeth May - nn Elsie.
Or Georgina. I think a full name like Elizabeth or Georgina fits the sibset beautifully. I am not keen on Georgia (but like Georgina)
I would choose Elsie over Georgia though.

seren82 · 02/01/2012 21:11

Hmm that's a shame - I like Tamsin a lot. I would go with Georgia May - very pretty.

LaFilleSurLePont · 02/01/2012 21:11

Georgia May.

SantieMaggie · 02/01/2012 21:13

I prefer Elsie but Georgia goes with your other names.

LydiaWickham · 02/01/2012 21:13

Georgia May.

If you go for Elizabeth May with nn Elsie then she'll not get called Elsie but Liz, so you might as well go for Elsie.

But Georgia is prettier.

Dirtydishesmakemesad · 02/01/2012 21:13

Georgia does fit nicely with the other names doesnt it!
I keep imagining introducing the children "ah yes here is my son jacob and my daughters Jessica, Bethan, Emily and Georgia" it does seem to roll off the tongue better than Elsie Grin

I prefer Georgia, Emily and Elsie sound quite similar.

CrotchFlakes · 02/01/2012 21:52

I prefer Georgia but sounds too similar to Jessica to me. Elizabeth is too close to Bethan. Elouise is much nicer.

JustHecate · 02/01/2012 21:54

I like Georgiana May

I know you weren't offering that as an option Grin

Fishpond · 02/01/2012 22:02

Georgia is better with your set and sounds nicer, IMO.

swanfall · 03/01/2012 11:48

Isn't there a Jagger daughter called Georgia May? Doesn't matter anyway, I really like it.

lljkk · 03/01/2012 12:12

Elsie.

Sausagesarenottheonlyfruit · 03/01/2012 12:19

Elsie is the name my DH uses whenever he does his "old lady" impersonation. Can't get past that I'm afraid! Blush

3boysgirlontheway · 03/01/2012 12:34

Georgia is lovely and works very well with your other names.

ShowOfHands · 03/01/2012 12:39

I prefer Elsie but Georgia's a better fit iyswim.

Lydia, I know 4 Elizabeths, none called Liz. They are Elizabeth (never shortened), Libby, Beth and Eliza.

JestersHat · 03/01/2012 13:21

I prefer Georgia and it fits better with the other names.

oikopolis · 03/01/2012 16:36

Georgia May is beautiful and goes with the other names you've got.

OneLieIn · 03/01/2012 16:40

There are loads of Georgias here, I can think of 4 instantly and they are all awful and almost as awful as the Michael Bolton song the name reminds me of...sorry.

Elsie, no, there's only one Elsie Tanner

guinealady · 03/01/2012 17:03

Another vote here for Elsie being too close to Emily - I'd go for Georgia.

JaxTellerIsMyFriend · 03/01/2012 17:05

oh I like Tamsin, but Georgia if I have to choose.

BettyBedlam · 03/01/2012 18:05

I think they are both lovely - but will Emily and Bethan feel left out if everyone else begins with a 'j' sound?

MissHonkover · 03/01/2012 18:08

Yep, Georgia May Jagger is a model.

Dirtydishesmakemesad · 03/01/2012 18:46

Well i had a scan today and we got a really good look at her little face and this will sound really stupid now but she doesnt look like a Georgia OR an Elsie (and i am prepared to admit that i may be overthinking a scan photo but she just doesnt!). If i had to give her a name from the picture i immediatly thought of my mums name since my mum had the exact same look to her cheeks i cant use that as i think it would upset my family too much!. My dh looked at me like this Confused.

Georgia May. I know two old lady Elsies and neither of them like it-one keeps it a dark secret and goes by a completely different nickname.
