Right me and my partner both like names of a completely different 'style' and HATE each other's choices.

We each think our 'style' of names is the better one obviously and have a bet going as to who can get most votes for the name we have each chosen.

In the interest of fairness I will not say who has chosen what name so it's a simple vote between which girl's name you prefer out of the two listed.

If you have a reason as to why you like / hate a certain name please state why.

Thanks :)

Right so the choices are:

Clara
or
Chelsea

Clara

Tammy As I said in the first post we are deciding between the STYLE of names.

I didn't realise that once you asked an opinion on a baby name you then HAD to use that name, think most people on baby names have broken that rule :)

Clara!

Clara. I feel mean saying it but Chelsea just sounds quite chavy.

I like both. I might choose either depending on the child and the surname. Funny how everyone here derides Chelsea, popular names are usually nice. People here seem too concerned with class/socioeconomic indicators.

Clara is more to my taste.

May I suggest Felicity, Penelope, Lucy and Alice?

Chelsea is not so much to my taste. I dislike labelling a name though, I think it depends entirely on the child as to how his or her name is percieved. It does remind me of football though.

Can we see your two shortlists. I'm sure there are some on both lists that MNers will like...

Clara

Any closer to making her see sense a decision yet?

Greenwing · 13/11/2011 21:33

Clara

This was a foregone conclusion surely on Mumsnet?
