Finally, we're down to our final 5 names. It's taken alot longer than I thought it would due to DP and I having completely different tastes but we're finally here Now all we have to do is pick one... Oh, and middle names.

Valentina.
Sasha.
Avery.
Kate.
Jessica.

Valentina is a family name on my side - DP doesn't like it. Sasha is my name, I've loved it since I was about 15 and always thought it would be my first daughter's name - DP is keen but it would use it if he had to. Avery is a family name on his side - we both like it but only like, not love. Kate and Jessica are DP's choices - I'm not a huge fan of either of them.

I really don't want to still be arguing over this when DD comes along. HELP! Which do you like or dislike? I can take it, I promise!

Kate

Kate. Valentina is trying to be posh. Sasha is okay but not very feminine imo. Avery is the name of a character off a bad 90s American TV show, and also sounds too much like Aviary. Jessica is quite nice- Sweet Valley High.

Sorry, my opinions sound a bit weird on these baby name threads. Blush

The only Jessica I know has long blond hair very pretty, but a bit dim

I adore the name Sacha but it is a boys name and I pondered using it for ds. I know people use it for girls now, but knowing several male Sachas (4 Sachas, 2 Sashas) it sounds so wrong on a girl. In fact 2 of the Sachas I know are Russian and say calling a girl Sacha is like calling a girl David. To their ears, it's madness.

I like Kate the best out of all of them. And it's a girls name too. Grin

Another vote for Valentina - classic, beautiful, feminine and not overused.

Jessica is a bit dull and I don't like Jess or Jesse and Kate is quite well used already.

Sasha is a boys name - and even if some Brits/Americans use it for girls, these girls may well travel/work/live abroad where the name is very much a male name. In Germany Sascha is only allowed to be registered for boys, for example.
