Before I hack my own head off, never mind my awkward DH's. If I don't choose a name soon I may explode with fury!

I prefer Emilia. Best of luck with your decision!

MrsOzz · 12/09/2011 13:41

Georgia!

I don't like Lydia or lyds as a nn.
Emilia will forever be 'no not Amelia, like Emily with IA instead of the Y' plus it's everywhere!!

tammytoby · 12/09/2011 13:43

I prefer Lydia.

Emilia is very widely used already, as is Emily, Amelia, Amelie etc. Georgia just reminds me of the US state.

LetThereBeRock · 12/09/2011 13:43

Georgia. I like all of them though, which isn't very helpful.

Thepoweroforangeknickers · 12/09/2011 13:44

Georgia or Georgina

tummytickler · 12/09/2011 13:45

Lydia

ExpensivePants · 12/09/2011 13:59

Lydia.

Georgia is alright though.

Emilia has the Amelie/Amelia issue though.

brodanbell · 12/09/2011 17:43

Lydia is one of my favourite names for a girl, so it gets my vote. Quite like Lyds, Lyddie for nn as well.
Followed in close second by Georgia, which is also on my list, just a bit further down.
Emilia doesn't do anything for me I'm afraid.

Kayano · 12/09/2011 17:47

Georgia - NN Georgie

CurwySwide · 12/09/2011 18:32

Georgia - the best by a long way

pointydog · 12/09/2011 18:38

I love the sound of Emilia but prefer Amelia. Emilia makes me think of a New Zealander saying Amelia.

DessieLou · 12/09/2011 20:14

Lydia, definately! Georgia in second place. Smile

PebblesAndWine · 12/09/2011 20:41

Lydia

OvO · 12/09/2011 20:44

Emilia.

Aphria · 12/09/2011 20:46

Love Emilia, like Georgia, dislike Lydia.

GiantUnderCrackers · 12/09/2011 20:51

Georgia

PootlePosyPerkin · 12/09/2011 21:08

Georgia.

Emilia is nice but will be mistaken for Amelia annoying regularly I imagine.

Lydia I just don't like. Seems very unfeminine to me.

lurkinginthebackground · 13/09/2011 00:01

I would choose the one that goes best with your surname. If that doesn't help then I like Lydia best.

MelinaM · 13/09/2011 00:28

Lydia is lovelySmile

Emilia is nice but fast becoming popular due to the Amelia link. I'm not a fan of Georgia, Georgina is far nicer.

ExpensivePants · 13/09/2011 08:48

Thanks for the thoughts.

Lydia - 8
Emilia - 4
Georgia - 7

They all sound fine with surname and middle names which have already been decided.

What about if I chuck Louisa into the mix? :)

PootlePosyPerkin · 13/09/2011 10:33

I love Louisa but am biased - it's my 5 week old DD's middle name Grin.

Dolcegusto · 13/09/2011 10:36

I have a Lydia so it gets my vote

brodanbell · 13/09/2011 13:05

Louisa - it's just Louise with an a. Very boring compared to the other three, and comes a very far off distant 4th behind Emilia (and I'm not sold on that either!)

ExpensivePants · 13/09/2011 13:08

Oh God... why is this so hard??
