I've never heard it for a human but actually I do like it. Different and attractive sounding.

Dislike June or Ju if you were to shorten it though

It's OK. Can't get excited about it, but it's not awful. Is it for a girl?
Wouldn't be good for a boy.

Jennifer Juniper is what came into my head too (and is still stuck there!). I think Jennifer is a v pretty name.

Grrr can't find it. Opinion was divided. I definitely associate it with gin, or the man in the life of Brian who has lived in a hole and eaten nothing but juniper berries for 20 years! As a name in itself though I could warm to it - I love Juno which could be a nickname.

She eats lentils, and weaves her own tie-dyed clothes.

It does sound lovely, but I would forever associate it with hippy dippy Jennifer Juniper.

We aren't hippies but sort of live that 'grow your own, eat your own' kinda lifestyle - so may be appropriate.

Juniper, aside from "did you nip 'er?', is strongly associated with the chracter of a tree-nymph in the Percy Jackson books - probably not the strongest or most durable association, but the one that will spring to mind right now if you have children of say 9+ around.

It's the pg hormones. Seriously. I liked the name when pg, but plumped for another one that even now I wonder what on earth was I thinking?!! And the way it goes is you won't want to use Juniper in full, so will shorten it to June...Juney...June bug......Dune bug and lo and behold your 15 yr old will wonder why everyone calls her Bug. Trust me on this!

How about Hebe?
