I think I like it but am hormonal bag and can't be trusted with these things, I think I like Anya Grace.

I really like India, Annabelle and Arabella but they're all becoming a little bit too popular or so i'm told Confused we don't know any.

Not sure of sex so will be back with boys names.

I love Anya and Luca

TheyCallMeKipper · 17/08/2011 06:14

I think Anya is a gorgeous name.

minicorrect · 17/08/2011 06:24

DD was going to be Indigo Anja until she arrived and didn't look like an Indie at all. Suffice to say I love India too. Afraid the other two conjure up images of precocious little madams though. Sorry Blush

Bubbaluv · 17/08/2011 06:25

Anya is lovely. Unusual without trying to hard to be cool (India) or posh (Arabella). Annabelle is also lovely. I don't know why but I feel like Clara would also sit well among the names you've choosen.
I like Luca much more than Roman (midday tv). What about Leo instead of Theo?

TheRealMBJ · 17/08/2011 06:30

Anya is a pretty name. I personally don't like it as I knew an Anya who was really spoilt and shallow.

Willabywallaby · 17/08/2011 06:33

Like Anya, but not India.

GwendolineMaryLacey · 17/08/2011 08:37

Anya is lovely. Would prefer Áine

GwendolineMaryLacey · 17/08/2011 08:38

Bum, pressed post...

Would prefer Áine but with what you said about your surname I understand why you wouldn't want to go there :)

No need to raise an eyebrow at me. Sainsburys do a TTD potato called Anya Potatoes. That's what I think of, and others will too.

I think the others in your list are a bit 'trying too hard'.

belgo · 17/08/2011 14:44

There are potatoes called Nicola, Charlotte as well.

LemonDifficult · 17/08/2011 14:50

And Desiree. OP, you could consider that if you wanted to go veg-based.

Lancelottie · 17/08/2011 14:52

Ooh yes, and (king) Edward.

TheMonster · 17/08/2011 14:53

I love the name Anya. I'm not keen on your other choices.

cantgounderitcantgooverit · 17/08/2011 14:57

I like Anya, and don't like the other girls names you listed. Like Eeyore!

magicmelons · 17/08/2011 15:01

Oh right, just I said I was Irish you said Potato, not Anya sounds like a potato, it's getting a bit tiresome now, i'm sure you can understand. However if you didn't mean it in the Keith Lemon sense I shall take my raised eyebrow back Smile. I did think surely nobody could be so childish.

ShoutyHamster · 17/08/2011 16:33

I thought she was suggesting Potato as a name for the baby Blush well there is the Apple precedent, no?

I didn't get much sleep last night.

Anya is good - prefer Anna though for some reason. Charlotte, Nicola, Maris and Piper also not bad Grin

ShoutyHamster · 17/08/2011 16:34

Courgetta :)

MoominsAreScary · 17/08/2011 16:39

Yeah it's the name of a sainsburys potato

That wouldn't put me off though, bet not alot of people even know , I think it's a beautiful name, I'd use it my self but have been told not to for family reasons boooo think I will be going for Ava instead

survivingsummer · 17/08/2011 17:06

My dd is Anya and I've lost count of the number of times people have said to me 'do you know, whenever I hear your daughters name it just makes me think of those potatoes from Sainsburys' Hmm

We've never even had the references to Buffy - we must surely mix in the wrong circles Grin

Bandwithering · 17/08/2011 17:22

that potato must be exclusive to sainsbury's. i've never seen it in ireland!

pointydog · 17/08/2011 17:33

I like Anya

Bandwithering · 17/08/2011 17:36

it's not often pointydog likes a name! Grin

pointydog · 17/08/2011 17:38

ahem, not true. I think I like quite a few names on here. Must just have different taste to you, band Wink

acsec · 17/08/2011 17:43

Anya and India are both beautiful (and both on my list!) :o

Bandwithering · 17/08/2011 17:57

Apologies for exaggerating slightly.

The category of name I like is - nice names . Wink
