Always Cherith.

mumatron · 22/06/2011 18:22

Isn't Anaiah a biblical name?

A friend of mine recently called her dd this. Not my cup of tea though.

mimmymouse · 22/06/2011 19:12

Zillah (my paternal grandmother's name)
Miriam
Susannah - not popular these days
Rebecca - can't think of a single Rebecca I know under the age of 20
Ruth
Esther

Aside from Zillah, which even in my family is considered very unusual, none of these are particularly odd and all look fairly obvious in terms of spelling and pronunciation.

Good luck!! Smile

Love Candace but fear it may get abbreviated to Candy!

"And he arose and went : and, behold , a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship."
Acts 8:27

Also, quite like Daphne meaning Laurel tree. But Laurel is also listed as a Biblical name - The laurel or bay plant.

www.biblical-baby-names.com/meaning-of-laurel.html

Origin - Latin (Greek - Daphne).
Laurel is an evergreen and fragrant plant. Its leaves and young branches were woven into a crown with which the winner of the Olympic games was rewarded. The laurel is not mentioned in the Bible, but an allusion is made to it many times. The laurel crown is perishable, but the true believers shall recieve the crown of glory which will never fade away. (1 Peter 5:4, 1 Corinthians 9:25).
