We just don't agree on anything, now need your votes...

Out of all the names, DH and I agree on almost none. Here are some that get combined approval. There are two I will not use. And two he refuses to. So, without biasing you, which, if any, would you go for? There isn't a pattern.
It may be worth noting that I am half Dutch, half Iranian; DH is English; but the baby may look slightly middle eastern.

Arthur, Edward, Louis and Frederick stand out as handsome names to me.

Toby is a name that is on my list but I am very unsure about it. I prefer Tobias but my husband dislikes it.

i like jacob the best, it's the name i wanted for ds but dh refused point blank.

also like arthur and freddie.

Don't like Lars or Louis - but all of the above are nice part from that.

Laurence (nn Laurie) sounds perfect!

I ought to bite the bullet, and as per Lady, ask: are there any in this list you don't like. And if so, why. There are two I don't like.
Then give me the two you do like - or an alternative two of your choice (that I can then pass by DH) :)

I like Edward, Jacob, Daniel, Laurence and Frederick.

Not keen on Louis or Toby. Arthur and Lars are OK.

Unusually, I like ALL your names. My favourites are Edward (Ted) and Louis

I only like Jacob/Jake from that list, but I suppose Lawrence would be ok as an alternative! x

But Starlingo everyone is going to have different opinions.. we thankfully all have different tastes.

Personally I dislike Jacob (just don't like it) and Laurence (girls name to me) and I like Lars and Frederick.

But the next person may have very different opinions. Choose the names YOU (and dh) love.

I only like Frederick (Freddie/Rick/Dirk)

I like them all but i think Frederick is the nicest.

I like Lars very much.

Dislike Jacob/Jake, Daniel and Toby - they sound very common and dull imo.

Arthur - like it, know one, will become popular
Edward (nn Ted) - classic, great name, love Ted
Louis - like but v. popular round these 'ere parts
Toby - love but would have to have Tobias on birth certificate
Jacob (poss nn Jake) - naughty boy's name
Daniel - bit dull but LOVE Danny as nn
Laurence (nn Laurie) - not so keen on Laurence but love Laurie as nn
Frederick (nn Freddie) - ten a penny but still a great name
Lars - don't like, always sounds like quite a weak name to me

The two I would drop would be Lars and Jacob.
The two I would vote for would be Edward (Ted) and Frederick (personally, I'd go for Fred as nn but doesn't matter either way).

Other suggestions I would make are:

Angus and Magnus (you spot a theme).

When do we get to hear which are your choices and which are DH's?

I like Lawrence (or Laurence, though prefer the w spelling)

I love Toby, Jake or Freddie (and I personally would register them with the shortened names but that's just my personal preference!).

Really dislike all the others on the list.

See I, on the other hand, really dislike Jake, Freddie and Toby. And Daniel.

But I love Lars, Lawrence and Arthur.

At the end of the day, not we but YOU (and dh) have to love the name you choose for your child.
