I've posted a couple of times on here but we are really struggling now and shes due in less than 5 weeks.
My dds are Jessica, Lily and Ava

I am drawn to girly but not frilly names. We like all of these but none make us think yesss

Elizabeth nn Eliza (but surname Bennett. Too Jane Austin?)
Anna - a bit meh and too many n's maybe

The above have been the front runners all the way through. Others we have thought about...
Scarlett - too many ts with surname
Francesca (I like Frankie)
Juliet (this was a front runner for a few weeks until I decided she might end up being Julie or ju neither of which I love)
Emmeline (Emmy) - dh not keen
Urmmmmmmmm there have been others.....

Anyway, any suggestions or names that you think might fit the bill.

At this rate she will end up being Anna or Elizabeth which i know are lovely names and I really like them but like I say, I'm not in love with either of them like I was with my other dcs names.

I think I really love Isabella. I tend to shorten names and I like izzy.

Is it too heavy on the bs with my surname? Isobel sounds better but for some reason I'm not as keen on that.

Also came up with daisy today but dh says it sounds like a cow Angry as if its got anything to do with him anyway :)

Some lovely suggestions.

BUT I would say do not go for Lydia Bennett - she was the stupid flighty sister in P&P who ran off with Wickham and was "ruined". Awful character.

smother · 04/04/2011 10:10

Jessica, Lily, Ava and....

Alice
Georgia
Martha

I think you have done really so far with the first three names of your DDs all being very different. My sisters are called Susan and Sarah and have spent their whole lives being mistaken for each other and getting mail addressed to Ms S surname. So avoid Anna or any other A names and think about
Susannah
Philippa
Rosemary
Eleanor
Maria
Sylvia

I think three syllables frames her nicely with Jessica.

Juliet is gorgeous! You could always shorten it to Letty or something instead

jellybeans · 04/04/2011 14:37

Francesca

blueberrymoon · 04/04/2011 16:40

Jessica, Lily, Ava and...

Phoebe
Imogen
Sophia
Rosalie/Rosa
Emmeline

freshmint · 04/04/2011 16:45

I think Julia works better with Bennett than Juliet.
Lovely name and not much used at the moment.
There are zillions of izzies around - I'd avoid personally

Have you thought about Georgia? Georgia Bennett sounds good. Or Amelia nn Mimi?

Mimi Bennett is sweet

Perpetuallypregnant · 05/04/2011 10:14

I love Cleo but dh says it sounds like a crap car :(
What about mathilda?

How about Ella, I think Lily and Ella sound nice together. Gracie is lovely too. How about April.

MoreCrackThanHarlem · 05/04/2011 12:57

I like Francesca

Our dd is Francesca Estelle, both names from your lists.
She gets Frankie mostly, I didn't like the nn Fran but so far it hasn't been used, she is 10 now.

UndiscoveredApprentice · 05/04/2011 16:16

Grace

AliSheedy · 05/04/2011 16:18

Juliet is lovely.

As is Emmeline.

My favourite is Elizabeth, though. It sits so nicely with your other DDs names.

ilovemydogandMrObama · 05/04/2011 16:22

Just a suggestion. Avoid names with nn Frankie. Think about it. Ava and Frank... (Gardner and Sinatra...)

Elizabeth is a great name. Loads of nicknames.

omnomnomtom · 05/04/2011 16:30

Another vote for Francesca here- although remember she could end up a a Frannie not a Frankie- both are nice though

What about Elissa instead of Eliza?
I also love Chloe, Bethany and Zoe- they were my top picks if I had a girl

Tillyscoutsmum · 05/04/2011 16:35

Like Francesca and Julia

Also think Matilda goes well (and I love the name obviously)

Martha
Phoebe
Ruby
Olivia
Claudia

exoticfruits · 05/04/2011 16:59

With Bennett I think you need to keep off Elizabeth and Lydia.
How about Hannah instead of Anna?
Louisa, Rosalind, Susannah?
I like your Juliet,Emmeline and Francesca.

Perpetuallypregnant · 05/04/2011 18:41

Thanks all. Claudia is actually a name I've wanted for all of my dds but Dh really doesn't like it. It's my favourite girls name and I'd use it in a second but sadly he's not budging (I'm thinking the aftermath of the birth might be a good time to work on him again though).

Shortlist (which has totally changed)

Matilda
Emmeline
Francesca
Juliet
(for now)

Is Thea pronounced THea or like Tia?
