The papa is Indian and I'm White and am struggling to find a well fitting name for the little man. It doesn't have to be a full on traditional Indian name, as long as its different but not hard to pronounce. All we (I've) come up with is Finn... Obviously not very Indian! Huge thanks in advance.

Rohan - I know a Guy with the same racial mix, very cool & creative "Dude" you remember him once you've met him

Karim - Arabic friends younger Brothers name, & he has got to be the most laid back Guy I have ever known, handsome, intelligent & hard working too, all round lovely Guy

Rohil - a traditional Indian name, but perhaps sounds modern English too _ I know a lovely boy of this name

Krishen- I know another Guy of the same racial mix with this name & he is known as Krish, which most people here as Chris - but remember it when its pointed out to them

I'm half indian and my boys have indian-ish middle names; names we have used/considered/are names of my brothers and others in the same situation...
Hari/Harry, Rohan, Jay/Jai, Vijay, Arun, Nikhil, Paul/Pal, Suraj, Ravi, Kiran
Just go with a name you both love, it'll suit your son I'm sure.

I was going to suggest Jai as well because I have a Jai. I also like Ajay and Raami

I'm in the same position. Husband born and raised in India. We're thinking of having a non-Indian first name as the surname is Indian. That way our baby gets a bit of both of us!

As far as Indian names go...Krishnan is nice. Kris or Krish for short?

Following this thread with interest now as one of my besties is expecting and is half Indian herself.

She's calling her 2011 baby Sachin if it's a boy...for obvious reasons if you like your cricket!

Our half indian/half english babies' indian names are Kiran and Nikhil

Rohan, Romit, Milan and Jay and Dylan were possible also rans

Though both boys have english first names
