Finally given birth to a beautiful baby girl. After all the indecision she just looks like a Millie. Not keen on Millicent but want a 'proper' name. Any ideas?

I knew an Emilie who was called Millie. Camille is lovely or maybe Camellia, as it is such a lovely flower?

expectingno3 · 16/03/2011 12:35

Amilie

ClenchedBottom · 16/03/2011 12:38

BluddyMoFo - who here is saying that they chose a name that they didn't really like just for a nickname????? I think you'd find that people have chosen two names that they like, one of which can be used as a nickname for the other!

ClenchedBottom · 16/03/2011 12:39

Although I have to be honest and say that I've never really understood how a newborn can 'look like' a certain name - to me that suggests that you might need to change their name as they grow up and change.

Camerondiazepam · 16/03/2011 12:40

Matilda? (I know that's more of a Tilly but you could bend the rules a bit maybe?)

ShoutyHamster · 16/03/2011 12:42

Romilly

rachel234 · 16/03/2011 12:43

Not sure how a a baby can 'look like' a Millie (or any name) Hmm, but just wanted to point out that Millie is extremely popular. If that doesn't bother you, how about Amelia, Emily or Camilla?

StarExpat · 16/03/2011 12:45

rachel - we had our name chosen but when ds was born I was convinced it suited him :) So yes, a baby (to a mother's/father's eyes) can "look like" a name.
