Ok, what do people think of this somewhat short list of names? Don't know what we're having, but I'll post again for the boys in a bit...

Emily April (baby due in April hence middle name)
Lois Katie
Merryn Emily

Or different combos of these names? Our sirname begins with 'Red...' Thanks!

BelligerentGhoul · 12/02/2011 17:58

Actually, I like Merryn April too - but you didn't give that option!

onimolap · 12/02/2011 18:02

Emily April is lovely, but the initials spell "ear".

How about Lois April?

roadtrain · 12/02/2011 18:03

I like Emily April, it's really nice.

pointydog · 12/02/2011 18:03

Merrin is lovely. DOn't like the y

expectingno3 · 12/02/2011 18:44

Ooh thanks everyone! Didn't think about the 'EAR' issue - do you think it really matters? So noone for Lois then? Oh missed that onimolap - Yes, Lois April is nice too.
My fave is Merryn / Merrin but am slightly worried it doesn't quite roll off the tongue with my sirname.

GabySolis · 12/02/2011 18:53

Emily April is a lovely name. Not keen on the others

thisisyesterday · 12/02/2011 18:57

I like Merryn and Lois

IngridFletcher · 12/02/2011 19:03

Like Lois and Merryn. I know a 3 year old Merryn but no Lois.

cece · 12/02/2011 19:05

I prefer Lois April

mathanxiety · 12/02/2011 21:04

Emmeline April?

onimolap · 12/02/2011 21:22

I'm not sure how much initials spelling a word matters. My SIL, before she married, had initials which did that and hated it, and her experience colours my views. Middle initials are often omitted in day to day life; perhaps it can be lived with.

belgo · 13/02/2011 07:33

If the initials spelling a word is a problem, then just add a short second middle name.

TransatlanticCityGirl · 13/02/2011 20:09

Emily Merryn

expectingno3 · 13/02/2011 20:14

I already have a Delphine (we usually call her Delphy) mathanxiety so maybe too many 'ines' but a lovely name still. Emily Mrryn - a strong contender TransatlanticCityGirl. I'd love to get Merryn in somewhere!
