Too twee?

So two questions:

Is it impossibly twee to have 2 DD's both with "flower" names?

and

Catherine or Katherine?

Thoughts please?

Katherine.

Katherine (my name :) )

growing3rdbump · 11/02/2011 09:30

mine too!

Ruthie32 · 11/02/2011 21:16

have you considered Violet?

muminthemiddle · 11/02/2011 21:55

Definately Catherine which is the original spelling I think and the K version is the anglicised/incorrect(?) spelling Kathryn is the American phonetic spelling like Jorga so a no-no for me.

I think 2 flower names do go together as most people who like such names tend to go with a theme.

Poppyella · 11/02/2011 22:28

Katherine

And 2 flower names fine I think - although i was not allowed by DH!

I have got a Poppy and so many people comment on what a lovely name she's got when they ask her.

I also have twin girls who I would have loved to call Daisy and Rosie, but like I said, was not allowed.

Lily and Iris are lovely and elegant, definitely not twee.

I prefer Catherine, for some reason the "C" feels softer to me.

Katherine (lends itself to nicer nn's - Kate/Kitty/Katie, rather than Cath/Cathy)

And not to two flower names.

Plonker · 11/02/2011 23:12

Sorry, should have read no to two flower names ...

MirandaGoshawk · 11/02/2011 23:16

Prefer Catherine, and I have a friend who has THREE DDs, all with flower names. It never struck me as odd.

MirandaGoshawk · 11/02/2011 23:16

They are Lily, Rose and Heather.

I think it depends on the flowers too. I have a Poppy and don't think I would go for Daisy even though I really like it...but I would go for Fleur, if I could get my DP to agree.

Katherine. In ever understand how a Catherine can become a Kate Smile
