They are both lovely I think. Both have potential shortening issues though, maybe.

What do you think? Smile

Love Juliet, really pretty, and you could use Imogen as a middle name as suggested...
Great choice!

specialsmasher · 07/02/2011 13:52

This really has been doing my head in an inordinate amount! Juliet has been a really late last-minute choice - others considered have included (among many!):

Martha
Esther
Ada
Elizabeth
Elspeth
Eliza
Beatrice
Katherine
Madeleine

Doing my head in!

Another vote for Juliet! :)

MardyBra · 07/02/2011 14:23

Love them both and don't know many Imogens.

MardyBra · 07/02/2011 14:25

BTW other names mainly great, but sorry

specialsmasher · 07/02/2011 14:33

Snort!!!! I know - that was niggling at the back of my mind a bit! I know one very beautiful & lovely Ada, though (American..)

It's essentially off the list. I think I want Juliet...

I think we are having a Juliet :)
I was thinking Juliet Elizabeth for ours.
Imogen is lovely too but my dh doesn't like it. We agree on very few names!

specialsmasher · 07/02/2011 16:57

Ours will be Juliet Elisabeth! (That's how my sis spells Elisabeth so just the one consonant different!)

[excited now, really. Want to decide what this little one will be called, as she's arriving any minute now!)

both nice, sound like sisters actually, but prefer Juliet

perpetuallypregnant · 07/02/2011 20:02

Awww still 12 weeks to go for mine :(

She will be dd4 so we have struggled this time for names!

specialsmasher · 07/02/2011 20:36

dd4! Are we allowed to know any names you've used before?

smother · 07/02/2011 21:05

Oooh, now you've introduced another dimension with your extra list! Off that list, I adore Martha! But if I was you, I wouldn't confuse the issue - stick with Juliet, it's beautiful.

Piccalilli2 · 07/02/2011 21:08

Juliet. It was on my short list for both dds. Bit different, there are Imogens everywhere these days

whysolate · 07/02/2011 21:11

Imogen! Common?!?!?! Shock

My DD is Imogen, it's a beautiful name for a beautiful girl! I don't know any other Imogen's.

She is 4, so can I say I re-set the trend of the name?!?! Wink

Maud2011 · 07/02/2011 21:11

Another vote for Juliet Grin

PlanetLizard · 07/02/2011 22:20

Juliet :)

perpetuallypregnant · 08/02/2011 01:44

specialsmasher other dds names are pretty popular although none were as popular when I picked them - I must be a bit of a trend setter :) plus dh is very boring conservative when it comes to names so we have had to compromise a fair bit.

I have a 12 yo Jessica, 7 yo Lily and an 8 month old Ava.

Age gap between Ava and (possible) Juliet is about 11 months - eek

anonymosity · 08/02/2011 04:36

I prefer Imogen. I find Juliet a little precious.

MummyGil · 08/02/2011 08:09

I've heard of a couple of baby Imogens recently and there are several already at our local primary school. The only Juliet I know is now in her thirties. They are both pretty names. It's not meant as an insult to say that Imogen is more common.

specialsmasher · 08/02/2011 08:13

Imogen is around 30 in the top 100 so is obviously on its way up.

perpetuallypregnant - lovely names for all your dds. Good luck with that age gap! I wouldn't be Sad at having another 12 weeks before your (possible) Juliet arrives!

twinmumplus1inthetum · 08/02/2011 19:36

Juliet - I have one so am biased!
Her nickname (though she prefers her name as is) is Juju, this is what her sister called her when tiny.

londonlottie · 15/02/2012 22:05

I have a Juliet too twinmum - she's a twin as well. I LOVE the name and bloody hope it doesn't become too popular.

StealthNinja · 16/02/2012 01:47

Juliet for me too

nooka · 16/02/2012 02:51

Another vote for Juliet.

flopsy1974 · 16/02/2012 07:54

Juliet. Imogen is lovely too but I know a few of them already Smile
