We have an Oliver.

Thinking of names for hypothetical DS2. Cannot think of a name that we like as much as Oliver!!

My list so far:

Isaac

DH's list so far:

Seth
Sebastian

What do you think, oh mighty ones..? Ideally need ideas that you think are a similar feel to Oliver. I feel like there is one out there that I am missing! Like old-fashioned proper names, that have nice nicknames! Thanks lots!

Does your Edward dislike extend to other Ed- names like Edmund and Edwin? Oliver and Edmund sounds quite nice to me, for example.

Other possibles:

Dominic
Nicholas

More old fashioned?

Albert, Stanley, Bertram, Douglas, Henry, Anthony, Cyril, Daniel, Guy....

Candleshoe · 28/01/2011 23:43

Edmund - good one!

anthonywiggleisthebest · 28/01/2011 23:46

Thanks Allie but unfortunately it does. I think it's Eddie I don't like. Maybe something to do with National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation "the shi**er's full"?! :)

Not so keen on Dom, but I really like Nicholas!! Just not as much as Oliver...

Albert is my Grandad :)
Anthony is my Dad :)
Not keen on the others - bad associations! Well I like Henry, except for the 'r' sound!

DancingThroughLife · 28/01/2011 23:50

anthonywiggleisthebest · 28/01/2011 23:52

Stephen - family again!
Robin and Christopher - the 'r' sound - 'though I do like them!
Not keen on Daniel or Nathan
Quentin reminds me of Roald Dahl's illustrator, Blake! Now I like Blake - but DH said no!
